Vampires are fang-tastic...
I know that this blog is going to get me into trouble, but I just have to get it out there. Let me start off by saying that I have discovered that I absolutely love vampires. There's just something about them that's really hot! I'm sure plenty of you will agree with me on this!
So be aware, to read this blog you will be better off leaving your head in the gutter!
As you know I'm a big Twilight-saga fan. I was SO, SO disappointed when I saw the movie, and just kept thinking that it could have been done so much better. Then I was introduced to True Blood, and suddenly I knew it could've been done so much better! So this blog, I guess, is all about the reasons why True Blood is so much better than the Twilight-movie.

1. Chemistry: I mean come on. You spend all this money on a movie, you have some handsome young stars starring in it, and you don't even spend the time finding out if the two leads actually have chemistry?!? The missing (or should I say non-existing) chemistry between Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson in Twilight just ruins the entire movie for me. I don't want to spend time on watching a romantic movie where the leads seem like they can just tolerate each other. It makes the whole "I can't live without you"-bit a little bit questionable. TB on the other hand... Uhhh... The chemistry between Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer is almost palpable! It's oozing out of the screen and seems to hit you in the lower regions and you just can't stop watching it, because it leaves you wanting more. That's what I'm talking about!! ![]()
2. The age-thing: Because vampires are so sexy it's really too bad to waste all that goodness on teenagers.
3. The vampires: The vampires in TB are infinitely scarier than the Twilight-ones. The way the fangs comes out is creepy (and smexy), and they seem to embrace their "condition" more readily than the Twilight-vamps. I think that the whole outing of the vampires in TB is really clever, and adds so much to the story. I know that you can argue that the two kinds of vamps are more alike than different (being pale, cold and you know, dead) I really think it is the small things (ahem... fangs...) that makes the difference...
4. The sex: Okay let's admit it. I'm not 16 anymore, I have been around the block a few times and on top of this am a married lady, I think I can handle a bit of nakedness and sexyness on screen. TB has plenty of this, not at least thanks to Jason Stackhouse and his manwhoring ways. But even the sexscenes between Bill and Sookie seems well done and not over the top (and HOT). How can Twilight even compare with that?? Easy, it can't, come on, the entire movie is all about how much they love each other, and all we get is one measly kiss?!? Even the book had more action than that...
5. The music: I know this is all about taste, but there's something about the intro from TB Bad Things by Jace Everett that just gets to me every time. The soundtrack from TB is just full of southern-goodness and you feel all hot and bothered when you listen to the music. Not that I didn't like the soundtrack from Twilight, but it just doesn't make you feel hot and bothered now does it...? ![]()
I think I'm going to stop here, if you let me I could just go on and on about this forever and I really have other things to do...J Needless to say, I can't wait for the 14th of June where season 2 of TB starts, it's going to be awesome!! The trailer is really sexy! (I really can't believe how many times that word has been mentioned in this blog so far...)
I've also watched the promo for the new show V - seems allright, I guess we just have to wait and see... And if any of you are interested the trailer for New Moon has just been released. IMO it just demonstrates how little chemistry Kristen and Rob have for each other, but the shot of a topless Taylor Lautner makes it really worth while, and almost makes me want to see the movie... (Gawd, when I look at him I wish I was 17 again so it wouldn't seem so inappropriate for me to swoon over him...
) This movie was posted on one of the Twilight-forums, and it just cracks me up. It's of these two die-hard-Twilight fans (girls obviously) watching the NM-trailer for the first time, and it's freaking hilarious!!
Before I finish off I just want to make a shout out to Macky who has returned to tv.com and to Shazz, who I hope is feeling better!
