Steam
Just wanted to say that I got Steam along with Team Fortress 2 today. My Steam ID is KosherPieFiasco if anyone wants to play.
In other news...
Hey everybody. Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile, I've been a bit pre-occupied. My (awesome) uncle is visiting from Ontario, and I've just started playing World of Warcraft. It's a blast. I see why so many people's lives are ruined because of it ![]()
I'm getting pumped for Borderlands. The game is looking fantastic. I'm at a little bit of a dilemma though: I'm either going to buy Borderlands on day one, or save my money for this really nice Gateway laptop I saw on Best Buys site. It's something like $500.00 CDN and it's top of the line. I'm thinking I'll splurge for the laptop, but we'll see.
I'm shocked...
So Sony just recently released they're new PSP, the PSP GO. It's slick, it's compact, it's pretty, and best of all you can download and play your games whenever you want, no bulky UMD's. Anyways, I went into EB Games the other day to look at them, and I had to do a double-take when I saw the price tag. $250.00?! Sony, you've got to be kidding me! Your charging almost as much as a full console for a little portable thing?
I realize that it's disc-free and it has other multi-media features...but $250.00? The best part is, it'll still sell like hot cakes.
Now, I have nothing against Sony, but this is just crazy.
Your thoughts?
Music to my ears
So I went and picked up my copy of ODST the other day (It's fantastic so far. Firefight is a blast) and as I'm playing through the game, i'm listening to the music and thinking "This is really good music". Now, I never really have anything to say about in-game music, but I found the soundrack for ODST to really be special. The music just captivates you and drags you even further inot the experience.
Here's the track from the teaser trailer.
So now that I've said that, how are you guys enjoying ODST?
Here's the thing...
So, I think I've decided that I'd like to get a better PC to game on. I've sarted saving, so far I've got $120.00. Only one problem...I know nothing about PCs or gaming on them. I have zero knowledge of brands, specs, or anything like that.
So here's my question: Can anyone give me some tips or link me some sort of beginners guide to PC gaming? It'd be much appreciated.
Also, Halo 3 ODST released last night at 12:00 am! I'm going over to EB Games after school to pick up my copy today. I can't wait to sit down and play some firefight!
Retro Gaming, Errors, and Movies
"Error: Your files cannot be played because the original files are corrupted. Please locate your files and try again". That's the message that I get, or at least the gist of it, when I try to play my music. When my friend was messin' around on my laptop the other day he accidently deleted my entire music library, which is roughly 3000 songs. And guess what? That's the second time this month. And painstakingly recovering/re-purchasing/re-downloading every song in my library is not how I enjoy spending time on my weekends.
Yeah, I'm mad.
Also over the weekend, I went and saw the movie "9". It was...somewhat disturbing and not at all what I expected. Yet I enjoyed it. The film seems harmless enough, but there are a lot of dark tones that reflect on the current state of our world and how it could end up in the future. So to say the least, it's not really a childrens movie.

I'm also really getting into retro games. I'm currently playing the original 3 Splatterhouse games in anticipation for the new one, which looks awesome. I also got a pre-order in for ODST, which also looks like it'll be great fun. Tell me if your getting ODST and maybe we can play! ![]()
Bad news at PAX
I was just watching the news, and apparently Swine Flu (H1M1) broke out at PAX today. They interviewed some guy saying that he thought he had something, but decided to attend PAX anyways. By doing so he spread the virus to several ohters, and so on. "I'll bring some hand sanitizer or something next time", he said. Your gonna need more than that...
First day
So today was my first day of high school. It was pretty nerve wracking. As I walked into the auditorium a bunch of grade 12's yelled "FRESH MEAT!" at me. Yikes. After the staff was introduced etc., we were assigned to our tags and given a tour of the school. Since it spans across two buildings, the whole ordeal was really confusing. Once the orientation was complete, we were sent home. Tomorrow is our first full day and we get to meet all of our teachers personally.
After I got home at around noonish (short day) I played some Metal Gear Solid, which I am REALLY enjoying and finally completed the endless Metal Gear Online update! Yeah, it took around 7 hours to finish. So now that I'm online, hit me up if anyone wants to play. My PSN ID is earsauce. But beware, I'm terrible at it.
I'm getting a new cell phone as well tomorrow. I went today, but Koodo's computers were down and they couldn't sell me a phone or activate one. So I have to call tomorrow and see what's up. I always seem to have bad luck with these things...
A solid weekend
So this weekend I went out and bought Uncharted: Drakes Fortune in aticipation for Uncharted 2: Among thieves. I aslo bought a used copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 (again) to play through for a second time, just because I love it so. I plan on buying a used PS2 so that I can play Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, 3 at some point, seeing as I've never played them and MGS4 is one of my favorite games (whoops?).
After i'm done Uncharted and MGS4 i'll try to write a review for one if I have the time, with going into high school and all that...yeah, that's right, HIGH SCHOOL
So the review might not happen, but i'll see what I can do.
And, alas, summer is coming to a close. I did a ton of traveling this summer and really enjoyed myself. How were your summers?
CAUTION - Hitchhikers may be escaping patients!

So around noon today, I walked over to my local Blockbuster to see if I could rent a copy of Batman: AA. I was in luck, and I promptly returned home with the last copy (Xbox 360).
I've been playing for 5 hours straight. I cannot put it down. Simply put, this game is an absolute gem to behold. The combat is a blast, the graphics make my eyes bleed, and the plot elements are dripping with awesomness, for lack of a better word.
I'll most likely have completed the game by tomorrow morning, although I wish it would never end, and I will start work on a review for it.
