Alex Navarro leaves Gamespot
The thrid reviewer to depart from Gamespot has been revealed. Alex Navarro, best known for his hilarious Big Rigs Video Review, has left Gamespot following the departures of Jeff Gerstmann and Frank Povo.
This whole scenario looks incredibly grim for Gamespot and specifically CNET.
The collateral damage of Gerstmann's firing is starting to fruition at full force.
Navarro was also MY favorite reviewer after Kasavin left.
CNet eyed for Hostile Takeover
The New York times has an article about numerous investors eyeing CNet for a corporate takeover.
Currently their share value is at 21%. Aims are to oust much of CNet's board and directors.
How ironic that the crappy management belonging to CNet will get the same boot they gave Gerstmann. Such a drastic change in direction and policies should *hopefully* bring out good changes.
Round 2: Frank Provo leaves GameSpot
It seems fallout from what is now known as "Gerstmanngate" is upon us. The first casualty is the resignation of Frank Provo. Seven years freelancing with GameSpot and over 700+ reviews to date.
