Well I beat Gears 2 and loved every second of it (read my Review). I'm currently a horde addict (yes, that was an attempt at a REALLY bad innuendo) and am going to try and beat it on insane.

I've honestly been overwhelmed by all the great games out! Fallout 3 became my favorite RPG in a second, and Gears 2 is great. FarCry2 is also very good, but I just can't get back into it, probably shouldn't have paid full price )=. Now I don't get paid for another 2 weeks, but when I do I'm thinking of getting either 1: Left4Dead or 2: CallOfDuty5. After that I'll be waiting for the holidays to spend ANY ounce of cash I have.

Lately Gamespot has been a little hard on reviews- and by lately I mean the last few weeks!

Fable 2 got an 8.5, Fallout 3 got a 9.0, GearsOfWar2 got a 9.0, and now Resistance 2 got a 9.0? Seriously, what the hell is up?

Perhaps it was due to the severe bashing GTA4 and MetalGearSolid4 got for getting 10's (which I think they both deserved, but that's my opinion.

Your thoughts?

My most anticipated game of the year is released tommorow!!! And of all great timing, I have a long weekend to play it!! Oh Snap!!! I'll be playing for a looooong time.

Over the weekend I unbelievably got some spare cash and got a copy of FarCry2. This isn't the best shooter I've played, but it's definetly something different, and so far it's great. I'm currently ADDICTED to the Map Editor. After spending over 5 hours making a few maps I can safely say- this is the best console Map Editor EVER MADE. So check it out!

With Halloween right around the corner you see more and more "top 10" list featuring the scariest games ever.

You see some real classic, creepy games like Silent Hill, Fatal Frame 2, Resident Evil, maybe Alien Vs. Predator...but you also see DOOM3.

And thats my problem- this is totally opinionated- but DOOM3 was NOT SCARY AT ALL!!

It's scares were nothing but cheap, out of the closet scares, the so called eerie diaries were so boring you don't care to listen to them, and the monsters just weren't effective.

I just thought I quickly say whats on my mind, because this has been annoying to me. Thought you may care.

So recently I've been able to play DeadSpace and I have one thing to say: this games special.

It does so many great things that most games nowadays can't seem to touch on.

For one: It's a cinematic game done right. Not a bunch of cutscenes, boring dialouge moments or, any of that BS. Instead you're totally immersed. It takes the "interactive movies" from resident Evil 4 and perfects it by perfectly blending into the game and not being a random button mash fest. Then, everything is shown via holograms, again; no cutscenes. Then voice acting and sound is great. The characters you meet seem "real". You can sense their fear and other emotions so well. Sound is awesome too, it sets the mood perfectly, and the little screams of pain, snaps of bones, and gushes of blood lead too...

Two: It's a bloodbath. Sure, there are plenty of violent games for 9 year olds to get their hands on, but Dead Space makes you really feel bad for your main character Isaac. You will get ripped in half, impaled, decapitated, mauled, smashed, torn to pieces and everytime you'll think: wow, that just happened?

Three: It's actually scary. Perfect for halloween around the corner- Dead Space will make you pee your pants! The look, feel, and vibe you get from the monsters is unlike any other: they look gross, sound gross, and are all the more enjoyable tocut in pieces. Seeing an entire room of mutilated bits and pieces of once living humans is just plain disturbing. Maybe it's the way that you can understand the horrors of what happened in the ship thanks to the eerie audio diaries.

So, maybe I should have made this a review? Whatever. The game rocks-pick it up
