I just want anyone who is checking my blogs that I am trying my best to vote and keep up. I read most of the threads that I can but respond very seldom because my life sucks right now. I am terrible about car maintenence if it takes more than 30 mins so I have left my car brakes go until they are metal on metal (no lectures please I know it costs more and I don't have any to spare but my mind doesn't pay attention to the checkbook). Anyway, we had a bad front move through, little snow but extremely high winds making windchill -40. I took my old '86 truck to work (I use it only to plow the driveway) since it has brakes. I leave work around 10:30pm and the drive home (on a good day takes 40 mins) was terrible, but I made it. Came in the house to find the furnance not working and the temp in the house at 50 and dropping. I lite a fire in the fireplace and tried my usual to get the furnance going. To make a long story sort of short....I gave up around 4am and got 4 hours sleep before going at it again. The temp in the house was now at 40. About 1pm I had figured out that I had a bad regulator for the LP coming in the house so I called and got it fixed about 3pm. I took off work since I was tired and pissed off (can I say that?) and decided to drive to town (in my truck) to pick up my mom's glasses (she is in an alzheimer home and broke them). I got on the outskirts of town and the radiator burst. Steam, green liquid, the works. Pulled over, walked to a nearby business and called a tow. Got back home and thankfullythe house was at least warming upso I tried to post/vote/comment and all for ML but my heart wasn't in it. Since I had cancelled my apt to have the car looked at on Wed, I have an apt today. I just hope I make it w/o the car exploding. I don't know where the money will come from, but I need transportation.

I feel like ML is family and I don't have much of a regular family so I hope you don't mind me venting....I just felt I needed to "talk" to someone and unload....thanks for listening. See ya on HN!

ps...took the car in for estimate, they said they had time to do it right away and I would still get to work on time. Well....things went from bad to worse, they broke the caliber bolts and can't get new ones until tomorrow so my car is sitting in the shop and I am w/o transportation and 30 miles from home. Price doubled from the orig estimate and now I need to beg, borrow or steel a car or stay in a motel and leave my animals on their own....what is next?
