Tori Amos is a blessing from the gods! She is one of the best lyricist of all time and will probably never be surpassed. Her uniqueness is astounding and the more I listen, the more i fall into the enigma which is TORI. This album was life altering for me and is on my top 20 list for sure. I will not write reviews for all of her albums she has to many and they would all be just like this one. An amazing artist and I can't wait to get to the store to buy the new one!

There isn't much to be said about this album other then it was groundbreaking. The difference between garbage and the rock at the time was they were truly the first alternative band that was flavored with a heavy goth tint. They brought sexy but not screaming vocals and very rhythmic rock guitars into a pot and clicked the unique style button. They have changed the face of music and i believe that they will eventually be admitted into the rock and roll hall of fame.

This was a catastrophic album for me. It changed my life. The lyrics were very well constructed. They have ways of taking something that might be ordinary and disguising it into something extraordinary. The guitars were sensational and layered in a way that only garbage could do. I personally learned how to play all the songs which on enhanced my deep love for them. Manson's vocals were so sexy and low but still commanding. She is also such a strong influence for young female musicians. She did not have to expose a butt cheek or a boob to get noticed. This is a true masterpiece and it will probably remain in the number 1 slot on my album list until they release their next one!

I would like to say that this is the most passed over garbage album and i will people would reexamine it. First of all I am a huge fan I was shocked when I first heard the album too. However, Ms. Manson's vocals were truly exposed for the first time. She has an amazing range and this was the first album that showcases them in full. The songs were well written as well. Granted the guitars got turned down and the rhythms were very pop-ish in some instances it is a great album and deserves another look. Sincerely a huge fan.
