Holy Level 10!
Wow, it seemed to take forever to get to level ten. Doesn't look like it's going to get any easier to raise levels either.
Editorial!
Ok, so I'm not good enough to be an editor for an actor but I'll take what I can get, so now I'm the editor for Death Cab for Cutie, which are a cool band even if they don't really belong on TV.com
Flat Mates
I have great flatmates, I have recently discovered that most of them are as addicted to the OC as much as me. One of them has the three seasons on dvd, and using them we have managed to convert another flatmate to the OC, he's now addicted more than the rest of us and went through season 1 in 3 days.
Uni!
So I have been living in cardiff now for almost a week now and im really enjoying myself. bit weird being away from home though. Made loads of new friends and two of my flat mate like the oc too. thats all i can think of writing for the moment, later.
Recent Reviews
However the track that makes this album what it is, the title track "Transatlanticism". Beautifully written by Benjamin Gibbard, this track puts the album into legendary status for me.
Right at the end when you think its all over another trick is pulled out the bag to finish the album of perfectly, "A Lack of Colour". Another lyrical masterpiece of Gibbard's, so delicately played but still so powerful.
For me this is the best album I have ever listened to and likely to be the best I ever will, most due to writing genius that is Benjamin Gibbard.
I love pretty much every song on both of her albums, "I Megaphone" and "Speak for Yourself".
One of my favourites from the albums is "Hide and Seak", it is very different from any thing I have ever heard before and nothing has sounded as good as it since. Until I was introduced to "Speeding Cars", the unique vocals were instantly recognisable.
I understande that she has a third project in the works due for a late 2008 release. I look forward to it with hope for more of the same brilliance.
It's very hard for me to pick my favourite one of their songs, it's a close call between "Soul Meets Body", "I Will Follow You into the Dark", "Someday You Will be Loved", "Crooked Teeth", "The Sound of Settling", "Transatlanticism" and "A Lack of Colour" (Hey, I did say I liked them a lot) but to have to pick just one then I would say Transatlanticism because of the great lyrics and it's beautiful sound.
DCFC have recently pulled of another hit in my eyes with "I will Possess Your Heart". Their latest album "Narrow Stairs" will be in shops soon and you had better believe I'll be at the front of the line to get it.
The first album I got was "Or Give Me Death", their latest release to date. I loved every single song on it, my personnal favourites would have to be "Keep It Together" and the very soothing "Zero The Controls".
With the success I had with "Or Give Me Death" I procceded with "I Sold Gold" and I was equally impressed with it.
The earlier albums "Power Ballards" and "Pistols at Dawn" show they're inexperience I believe. There are some good songs on them but the production leaves a sketchy finish.
I am looking forward to any future Aqueduct Projects.
