Album Review

Red John Stevens
""
I read the associated critic's review of John's "RED" album release and find it humorous if not moronic. First, considering John's young age and obvious lack of experience in the music business, I found the album to be fresh, crisp and clean.....John's vocals are reminiscent of Harry and Frank to be sure. But why does that detract from his delivery of timeless work? It's exciting to hear someone of John's age present work that very few are talented or gifted enough to do to begin with. I love Harry and therefore Frank, but who is coming up behind Harry??? No one really, and when Harry moves on who will continue with the American clasics? This critic's review is uninformed and as many critics are, untalented, unappreciative with few skills in the music profession himself.

The problem associated with John's delivery of vocals on American idol was pure lack of experience, age and maturity, wrong forum for his kind fo music. John was forced to sing songs he was not well suited for, it was obvious that from the begining when John opened his mouth he was a crooner, not a pop star or rock star or even country western and so forth.

I give John's work five stars....and the critic I give one star (for at least acknowledging John).

As for the critic, I have no idea how old you are or your musical preferences.....but let me enlighten you as to motivating aspiring singers.....especially ones that are gifted enough to keep the clasics alive....try thanking them for taking the risks involved in singing music that is not main stream..........Go John!
