The other reviewer obviously did not listen to the album more than once. Its nearly impossible to enjoy the album as whole your first time through, this is due to a lot of tricks Khayree pulls out of his sleeve. In fact the truth is quite the opposite. This album is extremly addictive after you've gotten used to its style. Dubee is a great MC in that his voice and raps are more of an instrument than anything else, none of the phrases and lines he uses really stand out all that much, but this is somehow a good thing because it makes for great music. Its extremely hard to notice, but there is a lot going on in the background of nearly every song, especially "Off Da Heezy", where a party atmosphere is just barely audible but makes the song so unique. Its far from the best song, yet the only real song that stands out is "My Thang" which you'll hit rewind on many many a time. The best way to explain it is a live funk band playing while Dubee does his thing. Possibly my own personal favorite album of all time.

This album is amazing, so many beautiful beats that flow along in a dusty haze. Listening stoned isn't even necessary as Quas's strange vocals, (who if you haven't already figured out is simply Madlib's voice with the pitch turned up) and Madlib's soft warm beats flow along and are so damn strange you already feel high as hell. This is a cd that will never reach mainstream listeners, it is just far too artsy and abstract.

This cd has a lot of great songs individually, but together it just doesn't work. As the other reviewer said, the absence of Khayree is noticable, but K Lou and Funk Daddy still do a good enough job and have some real funky beats. In my own personal opinion Crest Creepers is the best track, simply because it manages to combine 5 of the best flows Dre, Dubee, Reek, Jamal, Mall have ever spit WITH NO HOOK. As I already said, there's a lot of other great songs on here, like the most personal song Dre's ever produced "Life's a Bitch", however there's still songs in here that don't belong, like "Freaky Shit". That removes the ability to listen without skipping any songs.

This album is a culmination of his early work, along with some new songs. As you'd expect, Khayree and Mac Dre work magic together, so many great songs here. 2 Hard 4 The Fuckin' Radio, On My Toes, California Livin', I'm N Motion, Gift 2 Gab. All these are instantly easy to fall into, and knock so damn hard. A must have for any true Mac Dre fan.

Don't buy this cd if you don't own at least 3 or more Mac Dre CD's. You will not like it. It is extremely hard to like this cd unless you've given it a few listens. In this reviewer's humble opinion its simply khayree making money, nothing revolutionary, but if you really love khayree beats or are planning on starting a mac dre collection go ahead and grab it.
