Suicidal twin kills sister by mistake!!

tv.com is being annoying again with the html errors...

Hi all!

First of all:

If you have twitter, follow me. http://twitter.com/saxa246

How great have the season finales have been so far? Especially Lost & CSI:NY!! I don't know how the hell I can wait for the new seasons to start!!!

Now, why did I post these just like that? Well, first he's a cute guy, and quite hot. Okay, who am I kidding, he's HOT! But the real reason is that my mother told me she wanted to go see the new Star Trek movie yesterday, and I promised her we would go see it, then we started talking about the Star Trek series, - I've never seen an episode of any series, or any movie -. And I've learned something new about my mom. She's a Trekkie. She has seen every single episode of every series, some of them more than twice, and every movie, she can even quote from them -of course in Turkish. I swear to God, that woman never ceases to suprise me.

I came across some Bart Simpson goodies today and thought I'd share them with you in my blogs... The part when he writes that sentences on the black board is one of my favorite things in the whole The Simpsons world.

I will not carve gods.
I will not spank others.
I will not aim for the head.
I will not barf unless I'm sick.
I will not expose the ignorance of the faculty.
I saw nothing unusual in the teacher's lounge.
I will not conduct my own fire drills.
Funny noises are not funny.
I will not snap bras.
I will not fake seizures.

Well, other than these, life in this part of the world is boring as hell and hard. How have you been doing? Yes you. The one who's reading this. I want you to comment. Look directly in my eyes. I know you can't see them, just imagine them. Alright. You're feeling calm and happy. And suddenly you are feeling the urge to comment. Just do it!

Take care,
Love *hugs*

Life Intervenes

The school is back open again, and although I'm glad it finally is -a month long holiday at home with your family is not very practical-, I'm already looking forward to the next break. I haven't missed the three hours of travel each day, not even for a bit. And by Murphy's Laws, the snow that never made it here at the actual break now has come. So not only I have to travel 3 hours each day but also I have to freeze my a** doing so. Fun, aye?

And the lecturers are really going hard on us this term, we already have lots of work to do, and I've been translating some chapters of a law book on "Law of Succession" since monday. I'm seriously this close to going completely insane. Law is scary and hard enough in your mother tongue, translating it into your mother tongue is a whole another deal. I don't know if you've ever noticed but laws seem to be written in a really weird language that noone ever uses. Civilians can't read.

Other than these, I'm also down with God knows what, I've been running a slight fever for the last week, it comes and it goes, and it's not helping with my work. See, even when I try to talk (write) about something other than them, they manage to work into my sentences. The translations are taking over my whole life!!!

The other day we were at the English Lexis class, and the lecturer was making us read an excerpt from a Dean Koontz book. Then he went on to exlain some sentences of it, there were some references between the lines, some allusions. And one of the was that the main character of the book was being compared to Sigourney Weaver, since she was killing ants in her kitchen with a sray can of insecticide just like she did with the flamethrower in the movie Alien. And this articular lecturer, not only called Sigourney Weaver a "man", but also he went on to tell that the main villain of "his" movie was a huge bug. And the whole time I was going crazy not to tell anything, because you know, correcting a lecturer is like academic suicide, especially when you're just a freshman.

So this is how my week has been so far, how have you guys been? Leave a word, and take care. I have some Hegel to read now. =))

Love,
BuRCu =))

*hugs*

Life is a Party

Welcome everybody, since I managed to get through the semester without too much damage, I'm throwing a party. Wanna join? Let's head to the bar... We have tequila, wine, beer, margaritas and mojitos...

If you're underage or, just don't feel like drinking alcohol, feel free to dig into the fridge... We have a very nice DJ, and, we have bubble wrap. I think we're ready.

Oh yeah, we have food as well.

And of course, a chocolate fountain...

And a white chocolate one, just because...

So I've got AA from Philosophy, German and Public Speaking, AB from Introduction to Translation and Writing but CC from Turkish for Translators. I don't know which is sadder, that it's the crazy, obsessive prof who graded it, or that I barely passed the only class in my native language...

Party on people, I'll be over the dance floor...

When justice lies within the confines of a conscience

Hey all! How are you?

The title and the tagline is from the movie "17 and Under " (199. From the director Greg Morgan, the story of a seventeen-year-old gang member who is convicted and sentenced to live with a family that has lost their son to violent crime. Anyone seen this?

Personal Update: Soo, the weather here has been pretty awful lately, disabling me from getting online here. But here I am, as dedication always wins. I was at the gym again, after taking a three day break to let my leg heal. This time fortunately I managed not to injure myself.

This week was a packed one for me. I went book hunting with three of my closest friends, then met a friend from high school and saw Jim Carrey's "Yes Man" -LOL at the redbull scene-, then some friends from elementary school, kind of a reunion. And tomorrow I'll be taking a trip to uni to see the results of the philosophy finals... Of course I had to have a cold at this week of all weeks...

The Song Of The Blog: Duffy - Mercy

The Fifteen Part 3 - Jim Sturgess: Now this is mainly for myself, I've had a crush on this guy ever since I saw Across The Universe. I have a thing for men who can sing and who have accents...

*drools* Noooo not on the keyboard!!

The Quiz of The Blog:

You Are a Turtleneck Sweater

You are sophisticated, streetwise, and even a little cynical.
You are quite cultured, and you don't fall for gimmicks or trends easily.

You are naturally chic. You have a urban, cosmopolitan ****
And you know that the secret to looking good is not trying too hard!

What Kind of Sweater Are You?

You Are a Hat With Flaps

You are fun loving, cheerful, and even pretty cute most of the time.
You use fashion to play. You never take ****all that seriously.

You're the type most likely to wear a funny t-shirt or goofy hat.
But when it comes time to clean up, you clean up nicely.

What Winter Hat Are You?

The Quote of The Blog: "Kind words are the music of the world." - F. W. Faber

A question: Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours?

Up next: The Mighty Fine Part 4 of The 15, and more of the same stuff. Tune in. Please?

Peace Out!

It Took Them Twenty Years to Fall in Love at First Sight...

Hey, hope ya'll are doing fine!

The title of the blog is a tagline, and yes, I decided to bring the whole old blog layout back.
Today's tagline was from: 'Til There Was You (1997)
Plot: Two strangers, whose paths are always crossing, finally meet when fate steps in. Starring John Plumpis, Janel Moloney and Yvonne Zima (of ER, anyone remember what role she played? Gwen? )

The Song of The Blog: Rebel Moves - Doesn't Matter

The Fifteen: Part 2 - Lee Pace
(this one is especially for winterbehaviour -and myself for that matter. )

Yet another stupid decision from ABC, I'll dearly miss Pushing Daisies... I'm trying to drown my sorrow with the fact that the second season hasn't started here yet.

The Quiz of The Blog:
It's been a while, eh? Try this out!

Put your mp3 player on shuffle, and list the first ten songs.

01. Sun Rise Light Flies - Kasabian
02. Through The Glass - Stonesour
03. What Else Is There - Röyksopp
04. Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee
05. Robocop - Kanye West
06. For The Weekend - Hard-Fi
07. Crush - Jennifer Paige
08. Love Is Everything - kd lang (cover)
09. Surprise - Gnarls Barkley
10. Ruby - Kaiser Chiefs

Time to see what they mean to you!

1. Who does Song 1 remind you of?
Of a dream I once had, where I was being chased. This song would be a cool soundtrack to that!

2. What part of your life does song 2 describe the best?
Oh, when I broke-u with my ex-boyfriend/best friend, who was the first guy I ever dated, and still the only one I ever dated. What can I say, I'm not lucky at that department.

3. If you could dedicate song 3 to someone, who would it be?
Anybody who wants to listen to a really good song. And anyone who's at a turnpoint at their lives.

4. Does Song 4's lyrics mean anything to you personally?
Not really. Actually too Christmas-sy for me.

5. Why do you like song 5?
Because it has awesome sound effects at the beginning.

6. When did you first start listening to the artist of song 6?
I first heard them on the radio, their song "Hard To Beat" which is totally awesome.

7. How many albums do you have from the artist of song 7?
None.

8. How are number 8 and 9 similar?
I love them both? There's really not any similarity.

9. What is number 10's meaning?
It's one of my favorite songs ever. It's just so much fun to sing along!! *RUBY RUBY RUBY!!!!*

10. What song out of the 10 is your favorite?
#10 Ruby - Kaiser Chiefs

11. What song out of the 10 is your least favorite?
#04 Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee

12. Which song means the most to you and why?
#03 What Else Is There - Röyksopp. Not a solid answer to that why question. It just touches me. *shrugs*

13. Would you dedicate any of these to your love/crush?
#07 Crush - Jennifer Paige

14. Would you dedicate any of these to your enemy?
Nope. I don't really dedicate songs to my enemies.

15. Do these top ten songs fairly reflect your music collection?
Not really. I have a lot more old songs from the 60's and 70's.

And I just want to add #11 here, Beat It - Michael Jackson, because it's so awesome!

The Quote Of The Blog: "There are only four questions of value in life, Don Octavio. What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same - only love." - Johnny Depp as Don Juan in Don Juan DeMarco.

And a question for all: If you were a bank robber, which bank would you rob, and why?

Next up:
Part 3 of The Magnificent Fifteen, and more musings. Keep tuned.

Take care sweeties,
Peace Out =)
