Want to see something disturbing?

The YouTube "behind-the-scenes" commentary trailer for the King of Fighters movie.

This is supposed to be Mature, Rugal, and Vice. Thanks to SearchBomber for the image.

I always try to reserve judgement before seeing the final product, but after watching that trailer, well...it's like these people were trying to be as wrong as possible.

What I'm really torn about is whether I want to bother renting it when it inevitably comes rocketing to DVD. Good heavens.

It's Been an Amazing Run

I've been visiting Gamespot since 1997 back when they were Videogames.com. I've been a paying subscriber since 2002. But I think the site is done. Don't get me wrong, it's still probably the best videogame site out there, but I just can't justify paying for its content anymore. My faith in the site was seriously tested back when Greg left. But I gave it a chance and was pleased that Jeff and the crew keep things going. Then came Gerstmann-gate and its related fallout. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt and didn't cancel my paid subscription. However, now that some time has passed I have realized that while I still very much respect the writers of the site, that I really don't value their opinion. So as of today, I have cancelled my subscription. I'll still check out the news, reviews and blogs, but my days posting here are done...and they have been for quite a while for all intensive purposes anyway.

I'm headed to the land of the Gamespot refugee: http://www.blogger.com.

Visit me at http://emiroo.blogspot.com if you care to.

It's been an amazing run Gamespot. Sadly, it's time to move on. Thanks for everything.

On This Day in GameSpot History
Maybe "The Pulse" can show you what's happening right now on GameSpot--but what I really want to know is what happened six years ago today. Luckily, we've revamped our ever-popular "On This Day in GameSpot History" page so that you can see for yourself that TimeGate Studios launched a new website for Kohan, and THQ released Evil Dead for the Dreamcast. The magic of the Internet, right at your fingertips:

Zombie Thugs in Harmony
I totally suck at updating this blog, sorry for anyone that actually takes the time to read it, don't think I don't appreciate it! Not too much going on gaming wise these days though.

I'm still playing Dead Rising, which I have completed once and got the bad ending, which is too bad because I was standing on the helipad waiting at the right time. Oh well, playing through the second time is actually more enjoyable than the first time. You're leveled up enough that you can take on pretty much anything that was ultra challenging the last time, and you're fast enough to complete a lot more of the escort missions. Also having a better understanding of when you have free time to do those missions helps to organize your time in a more effective manner. In anycase, I'm hoping to play through a lot of it this weekend.

I also picked up Saints Row last week, and while I"ve been busy slaughtering zombies for the most part, I've messed around with this title a little bit and its quite fun. Especially the Insurance Fraud missions. Although i'm not a huge fan of the "urban" (read: hip hop/rap) leanings of this game, I DO love the prospect of a GTA game with character creation in it. Its pretty much what sold me on the game. We do need a patch though. It needs to fix A) online, and B) the v-sync problems that the framerate seems to have.

I don't like this Journal thing
Meh, I tried it...don't like it I'm done this will be my last post on it. I did get a new Xbox game, Phantom Crash. For the few who don't know it a mech game where you fight for more money to upgrade. I like the music and the cell-shadeing on the people. anyways that about it for this thing blogs are dumb imo.
