Started University!!!
I have a few 9am - 6pm days which are hurting me! The work isn't too hard though. Mostly stuff we covered last year... For now anyway!
I have pretty good professors so all in all it's been a fun few weeks. I've met some good friends in my class and everyone seems nice enough. Going to university in London is not as expensive as everyone thinks. It's just about the same as going to university anywhere in the UK. I have discovered that I've started noticing the word "free" a lot more now that I'm living on a budget.
The labs are SOOO nice here, so much better than the labs in school.
There are loads of societies as well, some better than others: the bongos society for instance, is one that I will be avoiding.
I Can't Use This Site!
Other reasons are that it's just so much less user friendly than the last version. It took me three goes just to type this blog (I had to turn off the WYSIWYG editor before I could even type) and forget editing posts. The new layout is crazy and less intuitive than the last one.
It's a step backwards in my opinion. I want a "Classic" option in my preferences!
Federer's Back!!!!
The Federer of old is back!
Congratulations to him
Murray/Nadal
Does anyone else think something was wrong with Nadal yesterday at the US open semi final against Murray? He was nowhere near as quick as he usually is and he was playing safe hitting straight down the middle of the court. His serving was also off.
Nadal is one of the fittest people on the tour and he looked like he was struggling yesterday. Did you see the shot of him breathing heavily at the back of the court to catch his breath? That NEVER happens to him!
Anyway, come on Federer! He looks like he's back to his best
Police STOP!
I think the police are getting a bit too good at their jobs in my area. Yes VERY efficient.
Here's what happened yesterday night (around 11p.m.).
I was borrowing a car from a friend whilst mine is getting fixed. I got pulled over twice in one trip from work to home by police! The first question asked both times was "Do you own the car?"! I don't know how they managed it but well done to them. I had to spend 20 minutes each time whilst they checked out who owned the car, if I was insured, if I was allowed to drive it...
Can't really blame the police because they were dead right, it wasn't my car. I just wished they weren't so proactive about it.
True it's a very nice car (BMW 3 Series Convertible) and no one my age owns one so they were suspicious but my friend who does own the car is only a year older (19) so they decided to check out if she was the actual owner - which took longer.
