2010 is coming almost and I've been looking at upcoming games - and I don't know if its just me but nothing really interests me on the 360 front where as too much interests me on the Wii front.
EDIT: Red are rentals/wait and see - the rest are buys.
Wii:
- Red Steel 2
- Epic Mickey
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Metroid Other M
- No More Heroes 2
- Monster Hunter 3
- Sin and Punishment 2
Xbox 360:
- Bayonetta
- Mass Effect 2
- BioShock 2
- Super Street Fighter IV
- Dante's Inferno
lol. I'm going to rent Red Steel 2, Monster Hunter 3 and SSFIV. I'm waiting on whether or not I want to buy Mass Effect 2, BioShock and Dante's Inferno.
Mass Effect 1 was great but the frame rate pissed me off to no end. BioShock was incredibly over rated and towards the end of the game I was getting bored - the environment created however was awesome.
Dante's Inferno looks good - I like the developers behind the game because they know how to make quality games, so far (Dead Space).
Bayonetta I will not buy day 1 - just like No More Heroes 2. I'm waiting for price drops on both - neither are worth full price to me.
-
I've kind of lost interest with my 360. There are only a few games every now and then that make me say wow - like Assassin's Creed 2 recently. Beyond that, I stick to the Wii. I enjoy it more - and it seems to be getting better with every year being on the market.
What games do you guys want from 2010?
Sometimes, I'm begin to wonder if we are more cynical than we are critical. What I mean is let's say Hollywood comes out with a new blockbuster, clearly with the intent to razzle and dazzle the senses with amazing special effects and gigantic explosions. Take Transformers 2 for instance. I expected big giant robots destroying things, and that's what I got. I was happy. In fact, I was giddy! And you know something, I love Michael Bay movies. I even liked The Island. There, I said. I LIKED THE ISLAND!
I just read a blog review of Ninja Assassin by worthyofnote, and you know something, I think this guy gets it. I haven't seen the movie myself, but from what I saw from the previews, it looks like nothing more than a martial arts gorefest. Upon reading his blog, it seems that's what it is. And you know something else? That's what I want. I just want to see kick ass action and limbs flying. Don't really care for much else.
Let me also bring up 2012. Rotten Tomatoes is currently scoring it at a 37% I haven't seen the movie yet, but I know EXACTLY what to expect from Roland Emmerich, and that's extinction level event world disaster movies with amazing special effects. 2012 WILL entertain me, regardless of what other aspects of the movie might be flawed. There is a part of me that can shut my brain off and just enjoy the ****ing movie. I don't want Shakespeare in movies like these. Leave the "intellectual" movies to the indie studios.
Also, I think some of us have the wrong disposition when approaching movie-based games. Yes, for the most part, they're below average, but also keep in mind that a lot of these games, usually the ones based off animated movies, are geared to younger kids. Whereas the "hardcore" gamers will see problems with the game and slam it, the younger kids may not care and are able to have fun because they're not being overly cynical. It's amazing how much you can enjoy something if you just keep an open mind. Heh, I'm 30 and I'm STILL trying to learn this.
Now, I am not going to be holier than thou, because I've been cynical myself. Sometimes when I'm being critical, I don't realize how much personal bias I am putting into something, and then the cynicism comes out. I try very hard to keep it at bay in my reviews, though, because I strive for professionalism, but you tell me that you enjoyed Twilight and New Moon in a casual discussion, and I'll laugh my ****ing ass off at you. I really shouldn't, though. I mean hey, if you liked the movie, more power to you.
It's just the misconceptions that I wish critics would throw out of the window. They need to stop expecting Oscar worthy movies from every single film they watch. They need to understand what a big budget summer blockbuster really is, and try watching it through the casual film goer's eyes instead of pandering to their fellow movie snobs when they write their reviews. Now, I can understand people slamming the Genre Movies, because for the most part, their humor really fails. Blast it for what it's trying to do, and fails horribly at. DON'T blast it for what it's trying to do, when you want it to be trying to do something else.
It really seems to me that some critics look forward to going to see some movies they know will be bad just so they can rip it to shreds. It's like, they get off on it, or they think they're so full of themselves, their word is the only acceptable word, and if you disagree, then you have no taste and your opinions don't matter. Or, they get pissed off at the movie for wasting their money when they know they shouldn't have gone to see it in the first place. "Are you not entertained?" That's really not the question some people should ask themselves. They should ask, "Will you allow yourself to be entertained?"
Opens scene with Eric knocking on Shadow's door while Shadow and Rouge are making out...on bed...
Shadow: Excuse me dear..
WHAT!?! WE'RE BUSY HERE GO AWAY! ![]()
Eric: *knocks door harder* It's me Eric!
Shadow: Ugh, I'll be right back dear. *opens the door* So, do you have the money?
Eric: ![]()
Shadow: ![]()
Eric: Shadow this is urgent
Shadow: If you don't have the money, then I don't have the time, and time is money, so scram! *slams the door hard*
Eric: Of course, never mind the fact that Sega was involved in an assissination..
Shadow: *opens door with anger* What was that?
Whatever happened to Nintendo in E3 is the least of my concerns.
Eric: Oh yeah? Well how doyou explain this? A hedgehog was found holding a sniper rifle that was meant to shoot Mario?
Shadow: Don't look atme, I had nothing to do with it. ![]()
Eric: Well it just so happensthat Nintendo could cut the strings between their relationship with Sega if they are found guilty. And you certainlywouldn't want to be caught in the mess now do you?
Shadow: Pfft, none of this bothers me at all.
Eric: Well okay how about this? If Sonic appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, you could be in too-
Shadow: Hmmm...
..YesI like that alot...Now let me just get ready.
Rouge: Shadow!
Eric: *realizes what's going on between the hedgehog and the bat* Umm, I'll just wait over there. ![]()
*cuts to Luigi and Silver discussing their plans*
Silver: It's simple, you barge in, and I kill Mario!
Luigi: It's not that simple! You have no idea how guarded Mario is in the castle!
Silver: Come on! Mario wasn't even guarded in the show! What makes you think he would beguarded at the castle?
Luigi: Well besides all that, if they saw me, it would already blow our cover.
Silver: Then we'll do it tonight!
Luigi: *sigh* I don't know...![]()
Silver: What's the matter?
Luigi: I think I was just overreacting...maybe I should I just apologize to my brother and settle the score-
Silver: Are you kidding me!?!
This is your perfect chance to star in a well-praised game that you deserve. *starts moving his hands to manipulate Luigi's mind*
Luigi: *gets hypnotized* You're right, I should! Yes! Yes! I will back Mario for all he has done to me!
Silver: Good, then tonight it shall be!
Luigi: Yes tonight! My brother shall pay with his blood!
Silver: That's the spirit! ![]()
*later that night when everyone goes to their dormiteries the two sneak behind the castle and head inside the Super Paper Mario set*
Luigi: *goes to the costume set*
Silver: HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING LUIGI!?!
????: Luigi? Ha! That name has no use for me anymore, for I am now...

Silver: Yes, that's very clever indeed! ![]()
*the Ice Climbers heard the noise*
Nana: *has a Norwegian accent* Popo, did you hear that?
Popo: *also has a Norwegian accent* Yes Nana! I think it came from the basement!
Silver: Shhh! Someone's coming!
Popo: Let's look over there!
Silver: When they get close, we ambushed them and tie them up! We'll let them scream loud enough so that the whole castle hears it and Mario won't have any guards! Ready now!
Ice Climbers: WAAAHHHH!!!!!
*in the top floor Mario is awaken by the loud scream*
Mario: What was that? Quick! Send the reinforcements down there!
Silver: Now is the time! Go!
*Silver and Lui-er I mean Mr. L run towards Mario's room while everyone is distracted by what's going on*
Mario: Mamma Mia!
Mr. L: Surprise!
Silver: Mario! Your time has come!
Mario: What! It's you! *gets taken away before he can say anything else*
Silver: Wait just a second Mr. L! First we're going to take him to my time where he destroyed everything! *pulls out a Chaos Emerald* CHAOS CONTROL! *Mr. L and Silver go into the warp with Mario being held hostage*
*Eric and Shadow arrive too late*
Eric: Dammit!
*They both head to the castle*
Peach: Mario is Missing! ![]()
Shadow: Yes that game sucked...
Eric: ![]()
Shadow: *shrugs* Well it's true!
Daisy: Has anyone seen Luigi? I can't sleep without him! ![]()
Eric: Luigi is missing too? That hedgehog has some nerve.
Fox: Well, a while ago, some purple cat named Blaze came here telling us that a hedgehog named Silver is nowhere to be found.
Shadow: *growls at the mention of the name*
Eric: You know him?
Shadow: Yes I know him! And I thought I got rid of him! ![]()
Eric: This keeps getting better and better.
Shadow: Let's just get this over with!
*They head outside with Shadow using Chaos Control to send them both into the future*
Silver: You see of all this Mario? This is all of your doing! ![]()
Mario: I had nothing to with Sega's business being-
Silver: SHUT UP! I know everything about you! Kutaragi told me!
Mr. L: But Silver! The one behind Sega's downfall really was-
*Eric and Shadow appear behind Mr. L and Silver*
Eric: Sorry to interrupt your conversation!
Silver: *looks at Shadow with anger* You...![]()
Shadow: Yes, me, and this time, you are not gettin out of this!
Eric:It's time you hand back Mario!
Mr. L: Ha! And miss my chance to be the next mascot of Nintendo?
Mario: Luigi? Is that you?
Silver: *ignoring Mario*Hey! That wasn't part of our deal! I want Nintendo to be completely destroyed!
Mr. L: Are you out of your mind?
*while they are bickering, Eric uses this time to take back Mario*
Silver: So that's how it is going to be huh?
Mr. L: You choose to side against us, it cost you both your useless lives.
Shadow: We'll see about that!
*Eric and Shadow get on their fighting stance against Silver and Mr. L*
Shadow: I'm out of here. *leaves*
Mario: Thank you so much for saving me! If there is anythjing I could do for you, just let me know. ![]()
Eric: Well, okay, I've got one already!
Mario: Sure, anything!
Eric: I, Eric Cooper, would like to appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a playable character!
Mario: You can't...
...be serious...*starts snickering You in...
Eric: What? What is so funny?
Mario: You..in Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Wha hahaha
![]()
Eric: HEY! You said you would do anything! ![]()
Mario: ROFL
*notices Eric's angry face* What?
Eric: That's it!
*levitates Mario with his magic*
Mario: Hey! What are you doing? Put me down! No please! No!
Eric: *tosses Mario off the lava watefall* CHEAPSKEATE PLUMBER!

This blog is dedicated to Willy105. The video you just saw was his last contribution to GameSpot.
so i picked up modern warfare 2 on thursday last week. basically after a gaming binge this weekend i realized it amazing. i havent even made my way to the single player campaign yet, im sure one of these days ill get the chance. i heard its only a few hours so im not too worried. so far i have managed to put out three different tactical nukes and i have made it to the first prestiege. i have onlyfound time to play when a bunch of my friends were on, so my k/d and w/l are sky high right now. but im sure after a few months it will go down. but oh well it happens. hmm... other than that life has gotten fairly boring. classes are just about to finish up for this semester and i will start new ones in a month or two. im sure that will be a nice change, i hope.
If any of you have talked to me lately, you know that i've been more on the angry, nervous, somewhat depressed side. Work has been leaving its toll and me, and school makes it worse. I'm clueless in school, i have no idea what I wanna do, i don't really like school, etc etc. Basically, I'm having some issues that are bugging me and I need time to figure it out. I might be on GS tomorrow, I might not be on for a few days or who knows. I just need to time off, a change of pace might help. I'll keep you updated on how i'm feeling
Nostalgia from Gamestop. I also preordered Sin & Punishment 2.
Then I went to a store in my area called Cash in Culture. They have tons of videogames from 2600 through todays consoles. I saw about 40 NES games their most were $5.99 except the ones in the glass case those were up to $14.99. But I bought 1 SNES game (Hyperzone) and by sister bought 1 Genesis game (Mortal Kombat II), and 4 SNES games (Sim City, Street Fighter II, Wrestlemania The Arcade Game, and WWF Royal Rumble)
Next time I go to that store I'm plan on buying a SEGA Saturn since it is $49.99 their.
I don't even know why I'm doing this but here goes anyways....
I'm pretty much going to stop blogging from now on, or should I stopped blogging 2 months ago
? In any case I have grown tired of blogging on Gamespot and pretty tired of Gamespot altogether. This website used to be something years ago when it was active and full of life. Now the only thing it's full of is 13 yrs old kids who think they know something about gaming or whatever they talk about.
For those who read this and are 13 yrs old don't take it bad I'm not necesseraly talking about you but rather those who speak in your name.
In this blog I have interacted with many amazing people and discussed many topics regarding video gaming and some stuff happening in my life. Gamespot has been something, now it's just a dull place.... broken behind the scenes (unions and such) and it lost all of it's meaning to me. I don't think I'll come back so often to Gamespot anymore, or at all. I still post (very rarely) in a union and (even rarer) in forums, but beyond that, you should pretty much consider me gone.
I used to say that there is no such thing as ''quitting Gamespot'', I still stand by that and that's why I'm not saying that I quit, just that you won't notice me here any longer...
Gone are the days of the unions, vibrant little communities within gamespot. Gone are the amazing video features by key reviewers, those we have now are just generic. Gone are the days of the good ol' gamespot, where you always wanted to go to the site, post, watch videos and etc...
I'm still gaming, still want to become a game developer and so I will still visit this site for reviews but for news I pretty much use only Kotaku. It's been a long run, I've met a lot of great people (murlow12, Phantom5800, REVOLUTIONfreak just to name a very few) but most of them (if not all) have already quit or have been MIA now, some have been gone for a very long time now.
So for all of those who made my experience on Gamespot a great one, thank you, it's been fun.
PS: I also deleted my union (The Nintendo Online Community Union), once again thanks to all those who made this union possible and helped me build it and make it the great Nintendo community that it was. It's time was done long ago and now I gave it the kiss of death and it's gone. Thanks for everything everyone! I'll never forget all the great moments I've lived within that union and how happy I was to lead it and manage it.
Well, I think I'll make a return to see if I can get back into the community, mainly the PS3 board and game specific ones. Been gone for quite a bit (left due to the community and went to PlayStation.com). Gonna reapply to GUFU and see if I can get back in but other than that...not much else.
Notable news, my PS3 died (the week the Batman demo released). Not surprised as it was a 60GB and I've been hearing plenty of those are dying amongst a few friends on the PS.com. I'm not so much pissed about it dying as I am about losing the HDD contents in the process. I lose ~100+ hours of Valkyria Chronicles (A rank on all missions but the EX stuff), 100+ hours of Soul Calibur IV, MGS4 stuff (~6 playthroughs w/ Bandana and Stealth) and the various other games. I'm pissed that I lose that stuff.
So that's 1 PS3 dead and 2 360s for this gen. No luck whatsoever this gen. Sucks that it's a roll of the dice on whether or not your console is going to work everytime you turn it on. Gonna have to wait a bit on getting that fixed as I'm looking for work. Once that's out of the way and seeing what income is like, I may even consider getting another 360 for the handful of exclusives that interest me but I'm still skeptical on the hardware...
I am on the verge of beginning my third year at university. With it I find for the first time that my test scores and such are going to actually begin to affect my final degree. So this year of all years I have to try hard (though having said that I haven't been slacking off either.
This year I am also going to be taking the Japanese language proficiency test. I'm going for the big one: the level 1. This is about as hard as Japanese tests come so this is going to be fun for sure. I am having a hard time securing the audio for the past papers though.
Also this year is the last time the current Japanese test will maintain the current content and format so it is my last chance to pass the current level 1 as it is. At the same time I really want to undertake learning Chinese but I fear if I do so I won't have time to study aptly for the JLPT. On the other hand if I don't start learning Chinese this year it's now or never. Unlike Japanese my interest in Chinese is only for communicating with friends. I have no intention of becoming fully fluent as I am with Japanese.
With my Japanese I feel like I am finally in the last straight. I won't have any more major leaps or hurdles now. It's just about learning a large volume of words and grammar but not ones distinct or particularly different from the ones I already know. I'm so close now...I can feel it.
*LORE SPOILERS AHEAD*
I have mixed feelings about this new expansion myself. Vanilla WoW is getting a makeover, the old world will be forever changed. A lot of people say that Blizzard is destroying the Warcraft lore with this expansion. I say both "yes" and "no" to that statement. Let's not forget that WoW is based on the rich lore that exist, the story continues and evolves as it goes on, just like all other stories. The events in Wrath of the Lich King take place 4 years after those of the Frozen Throne and the merging of Arthas and Ner'Zhul (ingame there is 1 inconsistency with established lore though). But there is a lot of ranting and pretended herecy about Cataclysm.
Let's start with the new world out of the old world, lore wise... According to lore, Neltharion (or Deathwing as most will know him) was never killed, he merely kept hiding and manipulating after his defeat. He manipulated his only surviving consort Sintharia during the events of Night of the Dragon in Grim Batol. In short he has been plotting his grande reappearance for thousands of years. To remake the world in his image so he and his Black Dragonflight would rule all of Azeroth. So the world breaking up and burning all over is correct lore wise.
The flooding of Azeroth, lore wise... During the events of the War of the Ancients, queen Azshara and her arcane magic using Highborne Elves invited the Burning Legion with open arms to the world... of Warcraft. At the end of that First War, the Well of Eternity became ever unstable by the reckless use of its magic. Resulting in the destruction of Zin Azshari, the Night Elves capitol city and palace of the queen. The whole world became sundered (known as The Sundering) and ravaged and huge parts sank into the oceans. All that was left was an enormous vast sea with a never ending maelstrom where once the Well used to be. However as Zin Azshari together with the lovely queen and nearly all Highborne sank into the ravaging sea, she heard the wispers of the Old Gods. They promised her unsurpassed power if she would vow to serve them. She did... Azshara and the drowning Highborne did not die, they and their beloved city sank to the bottom of the sea and they became the Naga. Zin Azshari became Nazjatar (why call it Vashj'ir all of a sudden ?) from that point on. Enraged by the defiance of the Night Elves, the battle they waged on their queen and her defeat, she promised that one day the Naga would reclaim the surface world. So lore wise, the flooding makes perfect sense.
Arcane magic using Elves make also sense. Some of the Highborne felt it was wrong what the queen was doing, so they escaped Zin Azshari and joined the Night Elven army that fought the Legion. Some time after the War was over, the Highborne were exiled for being too arrogant and dangerous. Their leader Sunstrider (founder of the Sunstrider dynasty) renamed his Highborne the High Elves and left. Later ofcourse Kael'Thas took many of them with him and betrayed his people, they became Blood Elves. However some High Elves remained, Vereesa, Sylvanas and Alleria Windrunner amongst them. And since Tyrande is a big softy she would welcome the aid and return of their ancient cousins. Lore wise, arcane magic using Elves are correct. (My personal though on this is that maybe the High Elves should have became a separate race in the Alliance. The Alliance version of the Blood Elves. Just as arrogant and full of themselves. The High Elves differ a lot from the Night Elves in terms of beliefs, appearance, use of magic and their ideals).
The Dwarven Shaman, lore wise... During the events of Day of the Dragon, where Neltharion tried to manipulate his way to power within the Alliance and the Orcs had enslaved the Red Dragonflight and the Dragon Queen Alexstraza. The Dwarf shaman Falstad Wildhammer aided Vereesa Windrunner and Rhonin Draig'cyfail (or Dragonheart as some called him) on their mission to gather intel on what was going on in Grim Batol. Next to there clearly being a Dwarf shaman, the Dwarves have a history with stone and iron. Before the Old Gods bestowed the Curse of Flesh upon Azeroth (to prevent the Titans from destroying them), the Dwarves were beings of stone and iron. Lore wise it is correct that Dwarven shamans exsist.
The Goblins joining the Horde, lore wise... During the Second War, a Goblin Trade Prince agreed to ally himself and his faction with the Horde. The Horde was defeated during that time and so the Goblins decided to remain neutral, this would also benefit them more in terms of profits. Now with the Cataclysm caused by Neltharion (and probably Queen Azshara) the Goblins are in dire need of help. They choose the Horde because they already have a history of cooperation and the Alliance has an ally race which the Goblins don't like very much (probably the Gnomes). Many people already started ranting that now the neutral Goblin towns would become Horde towns. This will ofcourse not be the case, since these towns are run by the Steamwheedle Cartel under the rule of Trade Prince Steamwheedle. Who is still and will remain neutral and so will his towns. So Goblins joining the Horde is viable according to lore.
The Worgen joining the Alliance, lore wise... The Worgen originally come from another dimension or different plane of existence. Archmage Arugal has experimented with them and created Worgen/Human hybrids (Shadowfang Keep and Pyrewood Village). However their "lycanthropy" spreads and infected others. In this case it has spread to the secluded Human kingdom of Gilneas. Gilneas was a part of the (Human) Alliance, but their ruler Genn Greymane withdrew his support from the Alliance under the belief that his kingdom should not have to spend their resources on keeping their enemies, the Orcs, happy and alive in the internment camps. The great wall that separates Gilneas from the rest of the world was erected because Gilneas did not want to have anything to do with the problems of others anymore. In their isolation they are an easy prey for the Worgen and thus Gilneas has become infected with the curse of Arugal and turned them into the Worgen. Seeing as the Gilneans don't like the Orcs or Horde at all and they were once part of the Alliance, it is very plausible that the Worgen belong to the Alliance.
Dwarven mages and Gnome priests, lore wise... uhm, dunno. Seems agreeable that with the events in Cataclysm some "religiouns" allow others into their circle and allow them the same teachings.
Human hunters and Undead hunters. Why Humans did not get hunters from the beginning is a mystery to me. Afterall, what is so strange about a Human being a huntard... sorry hunter. The Undead being hunters as well then seems natural in my opinion. Why the Undead have no paladins seems also quite obvious to me. Lore wise... The Undead were all Scourge at first, but some broke free of the Lich King's hold and became the Forsaken. The filosophy of the Forsake does not at all embrace the belief in the Holy Light that the paladins believe in. The priests are in service to the Apothecarium. They bless and heal the Forsaken in battle and curse their enemies with pain, suffering and darkness just as they themselves once had to endure. The Forsaken are bend on infecting all humans with the Plague of Undeath and only allied themselves with the Horde because they could help them further their goals. They have no pitty, remorse or real feelings of friendship towards outsiders. They only want revenge on the living (humans) and Scourge for their suffering. The Forsaken are actually a 3rd faction in the game if you look at it closely. If any (playable) race in the game is truly evil and wicked, it is the Forsaken.
Tauren paladins and priests. According to lore, the Tauren were/are a nomadic and shamanistic race who worship the Earth Mother (probably the benevolent Therazane the Stonemother. A former Elemental Deity from the Old Gods). She is the creator of the world and all the beauty that nature holds. Her eyes are the sun (An'she) and moon (Mu'sha). In the occurring Cataclysm it is likely that some Tauren believe that they need more help from the Earth Mother and start to worship her other aspects (the sun for the paladins and the moon for the priests) to gain more ways to stop the destruction of her world. So them becoming paladins and priests is very plausible in the line of lore, although stretching it somewhat.
Blood Elven warriors. In their core, the Blood Elves are addicted to (arcane) magic and everything they do involves the use of it. The warriors may possibly be Blood Elves who overcame their addiction of magic. But a former High Elf who prefers a sword over a spell ? Again plausible but also stretching it.
Orc mages. In lore there are plenty of Orcs who use magic. Mostly it is the warlocks. But warlocks use fire magic and so do mages. Also in the Blackrock clans there are plenty of existing Orc mages, they were around ever since vanilla WoW. Orc society is based on shamanism and the warrior's way of life. Just like the presence of warlocks (despite the days of the corruption by the Legion and the Shadow Council), so too is it possible that the mages and their way of life from other clans like the Blackrock are now allowed.
Troll druids. The Darkspear and Shatterspear Trolls are part of the Horde, the Revantusk Trolls are allies to them. All the Troll tribes have always been very close to nature in all its elements. They have a heritage of war and blood lust and some still endone the practice of cannibalism and voodoo magic. It is possible that some have completely turned their backs to the old ways and completely embraced nature. So druids, who are one with nature, are not that strange in Troll culture.
So some things make good sense, others are stretching it. But most of them are logical results in a story that still goes on and adepts itself to the occuring events that simply were suppose to happen eventually to its own lore. The people who don't give a rats*ss about the lore and say the comming changes are retarded, well Blizzard is a company like all others and they need to keep the majority of their users happy in order to keep making money. But still, this is not the last WoW expansion. There still is the Emerald Dream/Nightmare and the corruption of the Green Dragonflight. Also the domain of the Burning Legion and the Nether itself where ultimately Sargeras will have to be dealt with. So, many changes and plot twists are still to come in the future of WoW.

Damn! Looks like I lucked out.
I signed up for the Goozex service about a month ago. If you are unfamilar with the website, it's basically the greater alternative to trade-in prices. It's a community based website where you trade games to other users and in exchange for the game you get points. Depending on how much points you get per game (or you can build up your points) you can buy games.
It's a pretty good service, I traded in 3 Nintendo DS games and got a little under 1000 points. With those points I then went on to buy Fallout 3 (PC) and Skate 2 (360). That's a damn good trade if you ask me. Over the past few weeks I traded 2 old Xbox360 games, with no interest in any games out I kept the points. But without thinking, I had left a game in my wanted list...
It arrived yesterday. So for the past 2 days I've been playing Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I've surprisingly had a blast with the game. But I cannot for the life of me recommend it as a purchase. Although, I'd highly recommend it as a rental to any fans out there. You won't enjoy it if you're not a fan, but for us tight knit fans it's a real blast. For the whole 5 hours it lasted, yeah, that included all the achievements.
I think i'll put it back up for trade as it's still going for the same price as I purchased it for. So basically i've been playing that for free all weekend. Not bad.
I also started Fallout 3 last weekend. I decided to get it for PC as they were apparently the game quality and I needed a excuse to play more Games for Windows games. I like the service overall, I like being able to use my gamercard to chat to friends on the 360 while i'm busy playing my own games on the PC. They need to expand this service, as it has a aweful lot of potential. As for the game itself, it's damn good. The beginning segments were one of the better starts to a game i've seen in a long time. I've never played a Fallout game before, but this one has me submerged in the world and enjoying it a lot. It's a ton of fun to play and explore, the game really lives up to the claims. It's all about the decisions to make.
I'm not very far into the game at the moment, so advise and helpful tips would be greatly appriciated.

Just read that my favorite vocalist ever, Matthew Chalk (ex Psycroptic), is joining my favorite band ever Spawn of Possession.
Along with ChristianMuenzner (ex Necrophagist) this completes the new Spawn lineup for the first time in the years since Noctambulant, SoP's last album.
Also, June 14th was my 7th year being a GameSpot member (according to the profile), the time does fly eh?
I was searching my closet for some of my summer shorts where i made a discovery.
I actually found my old gamecube box ( you know the box that the gamecube comes in!), so i picked it up and dust it off and looked at the back off it.
It had all sorts of crazy games posted on it like Luigi's mansion and Mario Cart double dash so i was like hey im going to play some Gamecube now!
So i unhooked my 360 and grabbed my gamecube from under my bed and fired that bad boy up! Man that Gamecube start up never gets old! I was suprised too see Timesplitters Future Perfect in there so im like alright i love this game so lets play..I was suprised to find that the controller was very comfortable and the buttons seem to not be sticky and the joysticks were still very stiff.
Back to the game though i just love the visuals for this game and it was very pleasent to the eyes. I was creating my own map which is always a blast on any game. This is unique because i think no other game can compete with this creation system. Its very simple!
Many hours later i finally shut it off and i was thinking to myself.....I miss my Gamecube and i miss playing it.
These days you cant really sit with a game and TRULEY ENJOY IT! Dont get me wrong titles like Fallout 3 and Forza 2 are fun to play mainly because they focus on single player action but im just saying they dont make games like they use to. These days its all about Insane graphics and 48 player multiplayer and require you to have HIGH SPEED INTERNET! Games like Call of Duty: World at War REQUIRE high speed internet for you to get the FULL experience of the game.
What i really want game developers to do is to put an even amount of effort to appeal to offline users as much as they apeal to the online gamers too. Not everyone can have high speed internet connection! I just want people that buy games get their moneys worth. Paying 60 bucks for for a movie experience campaign and very little extras? No thanks..
I give props to Epic games for at least trying to appeal to the offline gamers by adding bot matches on all the multi player maps with all the awsome game modes avaliable, i think they were trying to give them a good experience.
Yeah well i probably went on too long babbling a bunch of non-sense but whatever...thanks for reading!

Cajun is back again......sort of.
I just remembered I had an account on this site, I post on GameFAQ's Random Insanity board once in a while now. I think I'm just going to maintain a personal blog on this site.
Anyway, I'm kinda in transition right now. I haven't even really had time to play any video games recently. College is fun and all, but MAN. To put my feelings into perspective, I have read 11 books and written 4 papers in the past week. However, I finished my French homework early, and I have the next few days to do nothing more than be lazy. The only important thing I have to do is wash my clothes. Speaking of things I have to spend money on, my savings from working all summer are starting to wear thin. I'm even feeling the effects of the U.S. economic crisis.
Also, there is a girl in my English discussion that has a crush on me for some reason. So now I have a love interest on top of everything else.
Tennessee lost AGAIN today, this time to South Carolina. Oh, well. At least I still have the Titans to cheer on. Looks like we won't even get a bowl game this year. I love how they expect us students to buy tickets and leave at the end of the game.
That's pretty much all on what's been going on with me, how has it been going for you guys and girls? Rant and rave!
Let's be friends!!!
I've noticed recently that I don't have a lot of friends and I've been on XBOX Live since 06. I have maybe like 50 or 60 friends but I've always been curious to know what kind of gamers are my Gamespot friends are. Now I just wanted to know if you guys and girls would like an extra friend. I'm an all around cool guy who just likes to play video games when he has the chance. Unfortunately, I've been so engrossed in going to school and work (at work right now, bored out of my mind). This past week has been heavy with midterms and I think it's safe to say that there will no more exams for a while. So yeah this is a long shot but I'm just hoping that maybe just maybe I can be friends with most of you if not all. My gamertag is DA4 6Doomzday6 (I want to change it before the year is over, any ideas?). If you send me your gamertag, I'll be glad to add you. "It's good to play together" whatever happened to that slogan? lol. "Jump In" is better though but I digress. So yeah I'm not sure what came over me. I'm genuinely just an affable guy who likes to meet knew people online and offline. Please don't be frightened, for I am not a weirdo lol and for those who believe that I am or believe that I'm a lame of some kind need not reply to this post. Thank you all. Now let the befriending begin!
I've been on the fence for a long time now about whether or not to get dreadlocks and I finally caved in and today I had them done. It took about 8 hours (which isn't too bad for "home-made dreads") and some of the time it was pretty damn painful. Either way they look pretty kick-arse and I'm quite happy with them but they've still got a long way to go (they take around a year to fully lock up).
To anyone who might actually read this, so basically no-one, I'll post some pics soon. But you don't really want to see my ugly mug, really.![]()
So things are really busy for me at the moment, mainly cuz of working. I deliver packages for the local post office. It's good work, the posties are a good group of guys, they are always saying crazy **** in the mornings. This one guy called Moon, I've know him since I was a kid, he keeps offering me a $2 to do his job for him. O-o This other guy smoked to much pot when he was a kid and hes kinda out there, he is suppose to be on vacation this last week but he keeps coming into work and they have to keep telling him to leave.
The other day, I had a package for a person named C. Dyke
(no lie) Also, today, I dropped a beer machine on my foot and I accidently shut the van door on my leg.
I'm trying to make it so that I can get hired as a mailman by next year sometime cuz they make $25/hour and with that money, I can get my own place and have Steph move in with me, that would own. ^__^ My mom's boss there knows me and sees me working all the time, so hopefully he can be my recommendation, cuz you need one.
I'm also going to the movies on the 18th to see the new Batman movie which will own, check that out if you can.
later.
