Hate for my first blog in almost three months to be a rant but I really need to talk about this one. Now most of the shows I watch that aren't on cable are either on FOX, CBS so I am more than a little ticked of to find out that I can't watch my shows now. The reason why is kind of dumb: apparently the TV station and my cable provider can't reach a new contract so the station has been dropped by my cable provider! WTF!! So because they can't come to terms I can't watch Terminator:TSCC, Bones, Fringe (by far my favorite new show!) and the one that really grinds my gears : House! Not being able to watch House makes me really mad since all of the other shows I can watch online the next day but for some dumb reason new episodes of House don't show up online on FOX's website until 8 f$%king days after the episode premieres! Eight days *in best John McEnroe impersonation* you can not be serious it just doesn't make much sense to me! Well hopefully all of this will be resolved soon so I can not have to resort to watching my shows online anymore! Probably the only good thing to come of this is that I don't have to decide between House and NCIS which show gets taped and which show gets watched! Hopefully all of this gets resolved quickly before I miss to many episodes!

Other than me anxiously awaiting the release of the new World of Warcraft expansion pack (November 13 and yes it's already pre-ordered) probably to the sadness and/or anger of BM and everyone else here! At least I'm not the only one in the family that has ever played WoW since my brother-in-law did too until my sister made him stop playing! I promise to lurk and post comments on the forums and on blogs and maybe try to be better about posting blogs more often since I feel kind of embarrassed about not posting a blog for almost three months!

I am settling into my new position and I finally have a set of keys to the store since my bosses have been dragging their feet about giving me some keys for the last month or so! Still not sure how much I'll like it since this is the first time I have ever really been in charge of people before so wish me luck.

Well I thought that since a lot of my friends here have been posting blogs, I should get off my ass and post one besides even Chantal has posted two blogs in the last couple of weeks! Since it's getting late and I don't feel like typing out big paragraphs you are stuck with sentences!

• Sometime next week I should be going to take all of my food safety/management tests and finally maybe get my promotion at work.
• I finally finished that food safety cl@ss I was working on and scored a 93% on a post test so I am cautiously optimistic about passing the real test
• I recently joined the rest of the world (sometimes seems that way ) and bought my first cell phone. My phone doesn't have a camera, have a lot of the more high end features, but I don't really need all that anyways because I'm a simple man with simple needs so it's perfect for me!
• The guy that was supposed to be my replacement just up and quit last Saturday so now I am stuck having to go in at 5am again so thanks you sh!thead
• I also broke down and bought the first season (series for you foreign-types) of Torchwood and although I haven't had a chance to watch all of the episodes yet it still rocks!
• There seems to be a lot of talk about how Brett Farve, one of my absolute favorite football players wants to come out of retirement wqhich would be great altough it would seem weird to see him play for any team other that the Green Bay Packers!
• Saw The Black Knight last night and it was just fraking AMAZING, the story was great, the acting was phenomenal and Heath Ledger was especially amazing as the Joker what a great performance for people to remember him by!
• When I logged in earlier tonight, I was debating just logging off and going to bed but after reading all 652 posts from Wednesday night's party and laughing my ass off I suddenly didn't feel so tired! I especially loved kait's comment about how I am always coming late to all of the parties was a good thing! I would say sorry to Lee for not being there but I think that he seemed to be enjoying himself too much!

One more thing, I saw this in one of Alyssa's blogs and since I thought that it was a good idea, I decided to steal it. It is the Don't Forget the Lyrics one where I give you the line from a song and you have to tell me what song it was from! Hopefully people do better on this one than I did on hers since I did horrible at hers! There's actually have the titile to one of the songs included in the lyrics since I love that line so much! It settled on doing seven songs since I had a hard time narrowing them down here goes. Good Luck!

Sorry for not being around much the last couple of weeks, and not posting or commenting on any of your blogs! I do have some good reasons for being around so much they are mostly work related sadly. For the past couple of weeks my work schedule has been well... rather different than what I have been accustomed to. Instead of me having to come in at 5am and getting the restaurant open, I have been working a lot of shifts where a don't come in until like maybe 8am or even as late as 11am on some days! Now don't get me wrong I love the fact that I get to sleep in for a change and not have to deal with the breakfast rush as much. The problem is that I have been having to work until 5pm if not later on some nights which just sucks! It's even worse when I don't get off until 8pm ish and have to turn around and be back to work at 8am the next day. Which means that by the time I get home all I want to do is maybe get something to eat and then curl up and go to bed! These later work shifts mess up with the time I usually spent here, which was like 2pm to whenever, that and I miss my late afternoon siestas.

Another thing that has been preventing me from coming here so much as that I have been taking a work related online cl@ss that I have to pass in order for me to get my promotion. Let me be frank, a passing grade is an 85% so there is much room for error if you know what I mean especially since some of the stuff on it is really hard! The section that is about all of the different foodbourne illnesses is going to be the death of me I think! It's going to be kind of hard for me to remember what the symptoms of a disease like Campylobacteriosis or Staphylococcal Gastroenteritis when I can't spell or even pronounce them! I actually should be working on my cl@ss instead of being here posting a blog, hope my boss dosen't get pissed at me! I'll just blame it on one of my co-workers who was supposed to be helping me study but keeps ditching me and hit it hard after work tommorow.

The other reason for me not being here is gaming related, or more specifically World of Warcraft related, hey a guy's got to game people! Last month, I got sick of being in the same guild ( essentially it's a club) that I had been in since shortly after I started playing. I was sick of being seemingly one of the few people ever playing and how all unorganized the guild was so I decided to find a new one for myself. The guild that I am in now is a ton of fun to be with, for once I am not the only person on and also there is actually people talking in the guild chat channel! Granted, most of them have known most of the other guildies for quite a while by how they talk to each other! But they are so damn funny and they make me want to log on and play if nothing else so that I can finally get up to their levels and do things with them!

All right, even though I told myself that I would not blog about anything going at my job, mainly because I am getting sick of writing about it this needs to be talked about. Apparently, now I finally going to get a promotion at work which I suppose is kind of nice and makes me feel a little bit more appreciated for a change!

Now you may be saying, why do I not seem to be altogether excited about it well a couple of reasons really. Like how I kind of feel slighted because my bosses have promoted so many people over me that have either quit or been fired. Meanwhile, there I have been in the background working my ass off only to see my boss decide to promote someone else instead of me! Even now it seems as though the only reason why I am going to be promoted is not because of how hard I work but simply because there is no one else other than me that my boss can promote other than me. Maybe I am just taking getting passed over before a little too personally but even now it just seems like my boss is doing it because she needs another manager rather than because of anything I have done! Especially considering all of the times that she had said that it would be happening soon, and having it not happen at all so needless to say that I really don't have much trust in a word that she says.

Another of the reasons is because well... I will be getting a lot more responsibility on my shoulders without me seeing that much more of a pay increase compared to what I am making now. One of my friends at work was promoted a couple of months ago said that she only got a $0.50 raise over what she was making before. So this new promotion would only be giving me about an extra $20 or so in my pocket every week. Now normally I am not one to turn down extra money but getting promoted just doesn't seem like it is going to be worth all of the extra work and hassles.

I do however have to admit that I am a little scared of getting this promotion, mainly because it is one of the few times that I have ever been in charge like this. Normally, I am not really put in charge of things especially since I am the kind of person that if something needs done I automatically work on getting it done without anyone needing to say anything to me. It is how the old saying goes "you can take the boy out of the Army, but you can't take the Army out of the boy"! I am just not very comfortable being in charge of things, I would much rather be someone else's right hand man so to speak that way I don't have to think about much, I seem to work better that way.

After my promotion comes through maybe the next time some of my fellow co-workers start picking at each other and I tell them to "shut the hell up and do their fraking jobs" they will have to listen me now and do what the picture below says!

Ps One more thing where has Claire been? Don't tell that the dreaded Zombie Apocalypse has begun and that she is hiding out from them! To arms people it's time to fight back those undead bastards!
