I...Have become...comfortably numb...
As the title suggests, I have a fever, but my hand's DON'T feel just like two balloons! Now having got that outta my system, I have to confess that I'm not listening to metal. As a matter of fact, I'm listening to less metal than my doctor prescribed! I'm listening to Pink Floyd, the Goo Goo Dolls, the Beatles, heck, even the Backstreet Boys! See, 'cause of my fever, whenever I try to listen to some heavy metal, I get a headache, so only soft stuff for me for a little while. But even after listening to EVERY Bakcstreet Boys album my cousin has, I still can't figure out why sooooo many hot girls find them soooo sexy and LIKE their music...guess that's just another mysterious working of the female brain that I'll never figure out, or maybe I sold my soul to the devil in exchange for his music? Humm...
A new day.
Today, I woke up with a lot of expectations. First, I thought that I would listen to every Guns n' Roses song I had, then watch every video I have of G n'R. But, when I opened up my media player, a new thought occured to my mind, why not listen to some Beatles, and not G n' R? I listened to "Yesterday", and then I listened to "Hey Jude", after that, I was in the mood for some sadness,so a little dose of "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls, and then "Hurt" by Johnny Cash. Then I became too sad to listen to anything else. And now, I'm sitting here, on my chair, listening to Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast", and I'm thinking to myself, why the f*** am I posting this sh**** blog in the first place? Well, only one thing can answer my metal-fuled question...and I don't know what that is...
Hello...Hello...Hello...How Low...
This is my first blog, so what better way to start than take the lines right off one of my favorite songs of allllll time! Really, I still listen to that song and think, while not that much, 'cause Kurt's screams are a little more than ear-splitting. Now I'm not gonna tell everyone what my age is, where I live, and that sort of stuff, since this site is all about music, I'll just tell all you which bands I like, and then you can put me in the category you want. Now I like all types pf music, but my favorite genre is metal. Every metal, any type of metal. Heavy, Death, Doom, Tin, Copper, ANYTHIG! Just metal! My favorite band is Led Zeppelin. Everytime I listen to Kashmir and Stairway to Heaven, I just become mesmorised. Then comes Nirvana, as you might have guessed...Well, I'll end this blog now and see you tomorrow.
A day in the life of...
The day started off as usual. Got up at six, brushed my teeth, fed the dog, complained to Mrs. Hamilton that the radiator was not working, getting scolded by her for waking her up in "the middle of the night". Up, just another usual day. Then, I inserted the C&C: Generals disk into my PC, and I thought that I would finish at least ONE misson that morning, but was I wrong! It was the last mission in the first, i.e. the Chinese, campaign, and that mission is TOUGH! I just can't seem to get those damn GLA forces before they get me! Then got frustrated and looked up Gamespot's guide to C&C, not much luck, gave it up and played a little FIFA 05(gotta get FIFA 06!), then tried my luck again, again failed...this continued till I just quit, I'll tackle the problem tomorrow, must get more supplies...DAMN! Where in god's name did that Scud Bomb come from?!?F***!

Led Zeppelin, ah, the name says it all. Those who have experienced zeppelin, know this...they are absolute GODS! From their groundbreaking first album till their last album In Through The Out Door, they were, are, and always will be the most influential rock band of all time. They were the first band to play blues so heavily, that was what set them apart. Their crushingly loud sound(for the time) along with their poetic lyrics and their use of mysticism and mythology in their songs(most notebly "The Battle Of Evermore" and "Stairway To Heaven" from their fourth album, simply called Led Zeppelin IV). Robert Plant did not have the best voice in the world, but what was genius about him was the way he used the voice he had in such a marvelous and amazing way. He could do anything from the blusey-rock of "When The Levee Breaks" to the epic-ness of "The Battle Of Evermore" to the subtle-ness of "Stairway To Heaven", there is no denying that he is one of the best vocalists of all time. And then comes Jimmy Page...oh...what can I say...are there any words to describe a god like Mr.Page? He could play the guitar like he had invented the damn thing! His guitar playing in various songs was the inspiration for many of today's greatest rockers. Man, even Eddie Van Halen(one of the best guitarists of all time) said that he got his inspiration for the double-hand tapping technique that he used from Mr.Page's solo in "Heartbreaker". That alone should say how wonderfully talented Jimmy Page is. Then comes John Paul Jones, he is truly a magical musician, and one of the most underpappreciated musicians of all time. As the bassist and keyboardist of Led Zep, he truly complemented the band in every song. The comes the late, great John Bonham, man, his tragic death was the cause for the band's break-up. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest drummers of all time, if you doubt me, then check out the song "Moby Dick"(which is entirely a drum solo) and you'll not only know why Mr.Bonham is one of the greatest drummers of all time, but why that drum solo is the best drum solo of all time. All in all, Led Zeppelin was one of the most influencial bands of all time, and their spirit will always live on. And if you don't agree, then why are going to listen to one of their songs now?

Coldplay have quickly become one of the biggest bands in the world today. And not without cause. Their previous two albums provided something to the modern rock scene that was sorely missing - emotion. Sure, there have been plenty of rock songs that have touched upon human emotions, but not as much as Coldplay did. And their latest album is quite good, not as good as their previous efforts, but worth the money. It has some good songs in it, most notably "Speed of Sound" and "X&Y", while on the other hand, it has some bad songs. But every album has that, but here, the expectations of Coldplay fans was very high for their latest album, so, if this was released before "A Rush of Blood to The Head", then perhaps it could have gotten a better score, but standing as it is, it tried to follow in the footsteps of their last album and has made it a long way, but not all the way. It is a must-buy for all Coldplay fans. But those who don't have "A Ruch of Blood to The Head", try that before buying this.

Bon Jovi has done many albums in his career, he and his band have gone through many ups and downs over the years. But one thing that has remained constant is their music. I have to abmit that before this, I only heard Bon Jovi from the singles they played on VH1. But after seeing the video for "Have a Nice Day", I made a resolution to get this album. And boy! Did I make the right choice! The album starts off with the title song, which in itself is quite good, and then it follows the old Bon Jovi tradition of heavy guitar riffs and a memorable drum beat along with Jon's inspirational voice. Though the first song is quite good, the rest of the album is even better. The third song, "Welcome to Wherever You Are", is one of the most inspirational songs ever. It really says a lot about how far Bon Jovi has come as a band and how far Jon has come as a songwriter. His songwriting skills are also worth mentioning in songs like "Bells of Freedom" and "Story of My Life". These songs have tunes that you will not soon forget.Though the other songs are extreamly good, these songs should be all the reason you need to buy this album. To conclude, this is one of the most memorable albums ever. I know that these songs will stay on my iPod for a looooooong time to come!

When you first look at the songs in this album, then maybe you will be a little bit dissapointed that it only has 6 songs. But you should buy it anyway, you'll never regret it! When you first pop in the ebhabced cd in your player, it starts off with dirt off your shoulder/lying from you, and if you still had any doubt that this is not one of the best albums out there, you will be convinced that this is one of the best investments you have ever made! Every song is redone in the studio and it sounds as slick and as cool as a hockey stadium in winter! And the cd is just the start, after that, you pop in the included dvd in your player, and guess what, you are amazed again! All the videos of the songs in the cd, plus more videos from MTV and a behind-the-scenes as well! This is one of the best compilations ever! Your worry that there are only 6 songs in this are totally eliminated and you begin to thank god for such a gift. Truly, this is one of the best albums ever. Period!

I had till this point NEVER heard a green day song, let alone an album, but after I saw that Holiday and Blvd. of Broken Dreams were making quite an impact on the music scene, I decided I was going to find out what the fuss is all about. And let me tell you, I'm glad I did! This is one album every punk fan already has, but every rock music lover must also get, and music lovers in general should also give it a try. The album begins with American Idiot(brilliant!) after that it shifts to a multi-part series of short, but good, songs . This is novel and quite interesting, and the songs themselves are quite good. The comes the real goods - Holiday followed by Blvd. of Broken Dreams. These two are,in my opinion, the best songs in the album, which is saying quite a lot. After that it breaks into a series of comparitively boring singles, but then it delivers Wake Me Up When Spetember Ends, which is quite possibly the most touching song in the whole album. And it ends spectacularly with Homecoming, the second multi-part series of songs, and Whatsername. In a nutshell, if you buy this album, then you most probobly are buying it for for three or four songs, which in itself is enough to get this a near-perfect rating.
