You could hear my screams of torment, pain and loss. My PC crashed and I didn't back anything up for at least a year The verdict at the store was final :

1. Hard disk fried beyond recognition.

2. Powersupply also fried.

3. XP (illegal serialnumber) gone + I lost the CD

4. Motherboard+processor giving all kinds of errors

Conclusion : Recycling old parts not an option + bad idea to spend too much money on a PC with dated architecture.

So I bought myself a new Powerhouse with Windows Vista......

*Swears like a 5 dollar hooker*. Don't get me wrong here, Vista is better in many ways but installing new software that is supposed to be "Vista Ready" is an adventure every time you attempt it. Finally after a week I got me PC running smoothly with all security and entertainment software in place. Anyway, that's why I wasn't getting on your nerves for a month.

Yep, yesterday I fell from my ladder and now I can't get up. The title suggests other parts damaged but that's just a typo As you can see in the pic my ladder has to stand against the mast and if that mast breaks at the bottom........well, all I can say is you're in for a ride I hit the dirt like a sack of potatoes and then continued squirming and moaning in pain.

I was an immediate hit with the people that lived in nearby houses. I guess they loved the excitement of it all and me laughing and joking while I was in agony probably helped Then they got to call the ambulance and tell everyone about it of course. They even mentioned me on national radio That's just silly, much more important things to report than a Technician who fell off a ladder.

How lucky I was to come out of this thing with just some bruised ribs and shoulder is just amazing. A fall from 9 meters (27 feet) with a heavy concrete mast and power cables following you all the way down.......well, you do the math.
