Next Gen, not so exciting?

So when, the ps3 xbox 360 and wii were still only talked about and not purchasable, they seemed so excting, and teh games and graphics seem like they would blow me away. Now that all the hype has died down, however, I find it totally unexciting. The games are great at first; better graphics, a few new tweaks, wirless controllers, online gaming support. But after a while that doesn't seem to be enough. Where are the revolutionary games? The ones that change your perspectrive of gaming, that raise the bar, that engage you thouroughly. I have to admit, i'm tired of a lot of the same formulas being reused. There are a few games that have caught my eye, such as MGS4, DMC 4(for the story mostly, why isn't our hero back, why are we fighting the demon slayer we all love, and i hope he kicks our new main character a$$) Halo3 (its halo, come on) Heavenly sword (seems god of warish). But i'm looking for something new, something past bulletime and flashy graphics, something that will stir my inner gaming core. Haze, that seems interesting I'm sure it will prove to be a great game. However, i want to see if such games can become the norm. I want my breath taken away everytime. Don't you agree?
