I should be able to express opinions freely without immense backlash.
Really, I guess your opinions aren't allowed but thar kinda defeats the purpose of coming to GS in the first place. Everytime people discovered that my opinions aren't copy n' pasted like theirs, people tend to freak out. I'm supposed to be ok with this? It happens way too many times as well.
Here's an example. Someone post a topic about highly praised games. I happen to dislike one. Explain why and then get hit with personnal attacks. It's stuff like that that really urks me. It's like different opinions are an act of war.
I simply can't justify hyped up games if people can't defend them without always on the offensive. Besides, why the hell do this people care what I or anyone else thinks. If someone doesn't like a game you like, the Earth isn't going to explode.
It's ridiculous and I avoid a lot of games based on the type of people who praise them. It may sound silly but I actually find it damaging to a game if it gets high scores. That doesn't mean it's good. It means it's gonna get overhyped and be the "FF7" of the month, or the year, or just another game people won't let you have an opinion on.
I really am getting sick of the constant flaming and bashing that occurs because people lack common sense. I hate always having to write essays about why it's ok to like Sonic just to hear "DURDUR SONIX SUX" everytime, like I care. I'm sick being muted all the damn time.
People, it's call "RESPECT". Why so many people lack it, I'll probably never know.

Yes, I made a Skype account. In case anyone cared.

Street Fighter 4 rant part 1
I was reall excited about finally getting own my own copy of SF4 but after playing for over 20 hours during the past 6 days, I can safely say I'm a little disappointed with how the game plays.
First off, Seth isn't hard. He's cheap. I know this because I played the game on Hardest and beat everyone without using continues. This is because the fighting system, the most important part, just boils down to slow, spamming, turtle fest. I main Cammy in this game as she the only character I stand a chance with online and when I played the CPU on Hardest with her, people started dropping like flies. That's not to say SF4 isn't difficult at all, it's just that I usually back away from my enemy and spam attacks when they're open and this actually works, both offline and online.
In fact, SF4 seems to punish you for being aggressive. I'd jump at people and always got counter by an uppercut by those with that move. This resulted me backing up and jumping over fireballs whenever Ken, Ryu, or Sagat made the seen. I hear this fireball spamming is called "zoning" and is just a technique. That's understandable considering that SF4 gives you barely any options in regards to how you can attack. Cammy has no projectiles so I usually end up jumping over fireballs and using Spiral Arrow over and over until I win, if I win.
The controls also don't feel like they were meant for a PS3 controller. Sure, I should probably get a fight stick but I shouldn't NEED one, I should just want one. SF4 felt like it tried to hard to make the gameplay excessible and ended up with characters like Guile and Vega. I know they are good in the right hands. Hell, I even get killed by them but, no way in hell I'm I ever learning how to use those characters with such imprecise controls and akward input commands. Compared to characters like that, why would I even bother to learn their moves when Cammy is so easy to use.
One thing that really got me was that the extra modes weren't even worth the time and effort. All I'd ever unlock is some artwork, taunts, and colors. Trial Mode is flawed because the combo system is as akward as it could possibly be. Apparently the folks at Capcom expect you to preform a move within a move to link it. This just barely works but so combos seem pretty useless to me when turtleing and using Spiral Arrow at the right time seems to work wonders.
I was also disappointed by the online play in general. It wasn't "OMG TERRIBLE!" but it felt pretty dated to not even have a proper lobby in the game. I saw some variety in the characters I faced online even if Ken, Ryu, and Sagat appear a little too often. What killed me though is that not matter who I fought, if they picked M.Bison or Sagat, they would play almost exactly like the last M.Bison or Sagat yet they're a different user.
F***in' hate Seth!
He has got to be the most broken of crap boss I've had the horror of fighting in quite sometime. That's saying something after dealing with I-NO in GGXXAC+. He teleports everywhere and spams uppercuts and throws like crazy. One ex uppercut attack takes almost a quarter of life. Four of these bad boys will kill you. Don't worry though, Seth will constantly spam the Zangief throw so you'll only get hit by a full moves before he throws you, bounces of the wall, comes back, and throws you again. This of course assuming he just doesn't teleport towards you then throw you. Seth is the kind of broken boss meant to eat up quarters at arcades and Capcom simply went to far. It's like some characters are simply out classed by him. It's practically impossible to beat Seth with Chun Li or Sakura. Really, does he need so many overpowered attacks. If I don't change my opninion on how bad this is by Tuesday, SF4 is going and I'm getting BB. This is just stupid.
Unleashed vs 06 (story)
Sonic Unleashed:
The story in SU is pure and simple. As a result, it kinda lacks depth but doesn't get in the way. Eggman basically wants to awaken Dark Gaia so he can use it's power to create Eggman Land and pretty take over the world. Nothing dynamic but it's nice to see a more child-friendly story in a Sonic game. It's more like the originals in a sense that Story isn't a big deal here. The story does open up a chance to explore some inspired stages based of different countries like China and Egypt. All in all, since there much story here, the only complaint I could think of is how annoying Chip can be at times but that's pretty common in a lot of games so it's no big.
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006 - 07):
The story in Sonic 06 is incredibly cliche despite its short length. It's amazing how uninspired the story was considering how short the game was. That is to say, Sega managed to have time travel, a princess in danger, and even the death of Sonic in such a short ass game. That's ridiculous. Basically, Sonic is just being himself, running past Soleanna on the day of some festival when Eggman suddenly atttacks and takes Princess Elise away along with the Chaos Emerald she has. It is later explained why she has the emerald in the first place so this isn't a plot hole though I can't fighure out why when Elise throws the emerald to Sonic, Eggman lets him keep it. I thought he was after Elise AND the emerald. Really though, the fact that Elise has Iblis sealed inside her yet Mephiles gets sealed in The Specter of Darkness is crazy enough. All you really need to know is that this game's story is very similar to the Cell Saga from DBZ. Silver is Trunks, trying to change the past to save the future, Shadow might as well be Vegeta, and Sonic is of course Goku. Not to mention they all go Super Saiyan to beat Solaris. It's not as much as it doesn't make sense, rather the story is not very creative nor well written. This game might have been better off without a story.
Verdict: SU 1, 06 0
SU has simple andpure story with nice amount of jokes and an overall charm that is a welcome change especially for those with childhood memories of Sonic. Sonic 06 is just a mess of cliches in an obvious lazy story that's as short as it is cheesy. The winner is clear, SU has the better story.
