Ugh!

Tough weekend ahead! Going to South Dakota again! Love it there...would retire there but don't have the sense to do it I guess...the city dweller in me still wants to go back to crime, noise, traffic, etc. I must be out of my mind!

The school year is drawing to a close and the 17 year old has plenty of end-of-year functions to keep me busy - ON FRIDAY NIGHTS! Now I can earn the worst dad of the year award and skip her functions to watch Ghost Whisperer and Moonlight or go buy a working VCR or whatever they have these days...being a total technically challenged idiot that I am...I am not sure I can work anything I buy! But still...off to the Wallyworld shortly to check out the meager selections...when you live in the middle of nowhere as I do...you don't get a lot of choice of where to shop!

Tuesday is a big day for me, being only 4 days away...a corrective surgery to the first surgery I had 6 weeks ago. Although I feel fine and rearing to go back to work, the kontry doc's wont write my all is well pass until this surgery is done. It's corrective and outpatient so I should be recovering in my lazy boy the same day.

The Upfronts are coming out the day after my surgery. CBS is at 4 pm. They will be pitching their new shows plus announcing their bubble shows. I am holding my breath about Moonlight. I will be blue by the time CBS makes their announcements. I am with tubpat, I am hoping someone leaks this information sooner than 4pm. If not, when does the rest of the world get to know?

The submission guidelines on this forum are crazy! Thought I would throw that in for good measure!

All's well that ends well...LOL...except submissions...

Moonlight Returns!!!!!

April 25th arrived with much ado about Moonlight! For weeks teasers, sneak peeks, leaked spoilers and my own imagination built up the episode "Fated to Pretend" into a crescendo of unrecognizable proportions! I almost feared that the show would not be as good as it was being built up to be!

Was I ever wrong! This episode, Fated to Pretend, has to be one of the most emotionally charged episodes of all time! I was pulled straight into the show and I don't think I breathed much through out it! The turning of Mick by Josef!!!! Wow! Jason Dohring played that one exactly right, showing off what a great actor he is. The tear from Mick's closed eye as he traded mortality for immortality. The scene was so perfect in the show, one of the seamless moments that made you stop and think...and maybe even shed a tear yourself...it was done beautifully.

The emotional charge between Beth and Mick...Beth taking control, pointing out what Mick fears the most - - being hurt. And the long awaited KISS from Mick himself to Beth...I almost fainted....

The new ADA is going to be trouble I assume...he already doesn't like Mick and he leers at Beth. He, to paraphrase Beth, doesn't look like the type to go with unanswered questions....he's going to be trouble down the line for Mick...

This episode, of all episodes, must be watch at least 3 times, preferably back to back...to catch what you missed the first time...second time etc.

Moonlight has returned! And I think CBS owes all of Moonlight's fans the courtesy of a full season next year!

That awful place called Hey!Nielsen

H!N has at least 6 pages of opinions today...that is good, right? Wrong...no one is commenting on the opinions! This means the scores will fall...the double edge sword here, if I call for comments we're docked and if I don't call for comments we're docked...so what to do, what to do? Call for the comments. Or don't. Or maybe smart people will read this blog and see what really needs to be done and do it....what do you think?

Thoughts on Moonlight

I am not very good at writing blogs, especially under the pain medications I am taking but I want to share some thoughts about Moonlight and my recent scare...

I wanted to leave the hospital pretty quickly when I was told I would need surgery. I am not a needle/scapel kind of guy. Only hours before I had come home from a 12 hour shift at the railroad to my not nearly completed bathroom. I had to reseat the "throne" for about the umpteenth time as the floor had finally set. I didn't know the contractors I had hired left water in it. Should have checked...

So I am transferred to a hospital in Denver and undergo surgery for a hernia that is absolutely killing me. While under the knife I begin having the most vivid dreams about Moonlight. Admittedly, I spend entirely too much time with Moonlight on my mind but I don't care... These dreams were so vivid! I was part of the show, I could see the actors, (ah, Sophia!) and it was my job to help Coraline - Coraevil as I like to call her - escape her captors. I can remember this vividly! And I did help her escape. (Must have been the drugs, trust me!)

It was wild. As I lay in the hospital after the surgery, unable to get my fingers near a keyboard to chat about/check on/surf the net for/ etc Moonlight, I began having withdrawals. I watched every program on TV that had celebrities on it, hoping for a tidbit of news. NOTHING! If I thought not getting to watch Moonlight was rough while on hiatus, try going without any news on the show or friends to chat with about it!

Ah, but I am better, growing stronger and able to sit at the computer longer. Back to doing everything Moonlight! And thankfully, I have a keyboard at my fingertips!

On HeyNielsen

Well, after that little 900 point drop Friday, Moonlight has, to the dedication of it's fan's, nearly climbed back to the 2000 point mark. I think a total gain of 300 points in only a few days is a true testament to the fans of this show dedicated to perserving it and letting CBS know that this show needs to be renewed! We have a ways to go to get it back to the 2500 mark but I think the fans are more determined than me!

Thank you to all of Moonlight's fans everywhere! We will prevail!

Moonlight is a worthy show and why CBS didn't renew it right off the bat is still beyond me. The spoilers for episode 13 are coming out and it's really sounding exciting. Today on the forum I read the beginning spoilers for episode 14! I am getting hyped for April 25th!

Oh, and Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
