Goodbye mp3.com

The only thing I'll be posting here in the future will be lists of best albums of the year...
For everything else, I won't be using mp3.com anymore, simply, because the dutch 'Musicmeter' site (www.musicmeter.nl) has proven itself better.
you can find me there as 'andnino'

ciao

No Time

I simply have not got the time to keep up a gamespot/mp3/movietome blog... so the only thing I'll be posting here in the future are the'best of the years': the best 5 games of the year, the best 5 movies of the year, and the 10 best cd's of the year...

that's it

Trivium / Annihillator / Sanctity

Sanctity was awesome, followed by a better band, Annihillator, followed by an even better band, Trivium.
The Pit was awesome.

Cult of Luna Rock/Pop

Cult of Luna is, to me, one of the best bands all time, mostly because of their music that knows no limits, no borders of any kind.
The latest release 'Somewhere Along the Highway' proves this once again, especially with the track 'Finland', one of the peaks of the album.
I highly recommend this band to fans of Dirge, Isis, Neurosis, Opeth and Alchemist.

Deaf to Our Prayers Heaven Shall Burn

However the first listen sounds like a weak antigone-ripoff, actually a disc containing a bunch of non-stop-killer-death-metal songs.
The album is a little less than what I expected it to be, but is still killing good.
The album doesn't start calm and doesn't stop at all for more than 25 seconds, and speaking about emotional music, you won't find it on Deaf to Our Prayers, just a bunch of pure metal songs of killer bass and guitar riffs, unhuman grunts and fast paced heavyness.

The More Things Change

No bulls**t kick ass in your face brutality!
I seem to be the only person who likes this album more than Burn my Eyes but it rocks! F**k yeah!
The More Things Change is one of the very best Machine Head albums because of it's brutality that raises high above Through the Ashes of Empires, Burning Red and Supercharger, yeah, Throught the Ashes if Empires is maybe a better album, but way not so brutal.
The album starts kicking off with Ten Ton Hammer, the song that sets the defenition of Machine Head's sound: Heavy with a big H.
Followed by another kickbutt track: Take my Scars, which is my favourite of this album, especially the last minute of the song is very catchy.
Followed by a long list of typical American metal tracks, until the slow starting but furious ending "Violate", and anoher song where I've got to use the name of KickAss track again because there are no other words to tell how they sound, Blistering.
Ending with "Blood of the Zodiac", this album kicks butt just as much or even more than Burn my Eyes, a pity that the following masterpiece was a long wait to go, and I mean 2003's Through the Ashes of Empires, so if you see this thing for a killer price, don't hesitate and buy it, mother****er!whoohoo

Whoohoo, this is what's worth to be called "Killer-Death Metal"!
These guys rock you off your feet, starting with the song "Walk With the Lord", when I don't count Death Core or Melodic Death but only real Death Metal, this band will surely be in the top 3 of my artist list!
But, about the music... uh.. music.. well, it doesn't matter if it get's somewhere close to beieng still "Music", but they bring it with so much power and they cover it up with a feeling that's a mixture between Fear, Hate, and Darkness.
Well.. believe me, it just rocks.

About Me

If this is the spot I have to write a short description of what music I love in, I'd be still writing tomorrow. Though my preferred genres are within the metal scene especially NWOAHM, and European Gothic and Melodic Death metalbands. From a person who lives for metal, you'd expect, if he had to make a list of it's preferred genres, the 2nd genre would be 'Rock' or 'Punk'... in my case, it's not... MY preferred genre, after Metal is Hip Hop, and within hip hop, especially modern Hip Hop like Timbaland, Jay-Z, Missy Elliot and The Game, and, the late 90's LA Hip Hop (2Pac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Hittman, Eminem and Xzibit) After those I also often listen to reggae, if I want to relax a bit. Also great music for relaxing is Drum & Bass... I love Aphrodite. And you won't be amazed if you look in my top 10 artists list.... Metal only... my absolutely numer 1 band is Machine Head, followed by Heaven Shall Burn, the other bands follow on a distance... for me, those two bands are essential for life. I really could't live without 'em... Well I guess this is enough info... Oh well, it's for filmspot and gamespot too xD... wel I love xbox 360 action/shooter games and pc rts games... My favourite games all time are Zelda: The Windwaker, Resident Evil 4, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, Gears of War, I also like tactical shooters, like GRAW and BiA... And about movies... my fav movies all time are Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, The 'Bourne' trillogy, The Lord of the Rings... I love action/thriller movies and comedy movies... like Harold and Kumar go to white castle, Scary Movie, The Simpsons, South Park, American Pie... My favourite actors are Adam Sandler and Bruce Willis, and my favourite director is Quentin Tarantino.
