Mariah Carey is a great singer! Did have great songs and even greater performances, but these days she's looking like a cheap whore with an attitude that you don't want to know.

She's so talented and still, but the way she acts has no good influance on her carreer. I liked her back in the days when she was the girl-next-door and not the hot chick like we know her now.It's such a shame...
I've not a problem with her songs... I don't care if she sings urban-related songs or ballads or bumble-gum pop... not at all, but I don't understand why a singer have to be half-naked in clips or live-performances? Explain that with -please- the none-sex-sells-explaination!

If you think Mariah Carey is pretentious, realy NOT down-to-earth, too much diva-acting and too trashy looks...

Watch/Listen to this, 'cause here we've got the classic Mariah who realy showed her talent back in those days: i.e. SINGING!
This performance is set in a very intimite setting. Mariah is only three feet away of the audiance.
This performance starts with 'Emotions', an up-tempo song ! In this song she's realy amusing the audience as well herself and she ends with the very high note, the way she only can do it!
The next song 'If it's over', witch is co-writed by the talented Carole King, is cut into a short but powerfull balad with a climax, nearby the end.
The way 'Someday' starts is also great. The third verse she brings it (together with her backgroundsingers) as kind of a rap-verse.
'Vision of love' her debut-single couldn't be missing in a show as this so for the fourth song.
Another Mariah-classic is 'Make it happen'. I don't like the regular version (as heard on the album 'Emotions'), but this one I like very much. Great performance!
The climax of the entire show is this Jacksons Five-classic: 'I'll be there' where Mariah sings this song with one of her talented backgrounds Trey Lorenz. It became her sixth number one hit!
'Can't let go' is the last song of this evening and is also better than the original.

Great performance of Mariah! If she does more shows with thinking more to the music than only what to wair... well maybe if that happened I would a very happy guy.

I do not understand why people are complaing about this album. I think it's a great one with some fantastic songs on it. Give it a try to listen and make it out for yourself offcourse!
