Hey guys, what's up? I hope you're all doing great.
Sorry for (once again) neglecting this site for quite awhile, even since I started 11th grade I've been pretty swamped. It is my second last year of school afterall.
Anyway, I've been making a few MVs that I've yet to share on this site and thought I would post them just for the hell of it. They are as follows
American Dragon: Jake Long - Gifts And Curses (Yellowcard) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_MgL0wOLxA
Danny Phantom - In Memory (Shinedown) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYvN1lqMGNA
Danny Phantom - Your Guardian Angel (The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5sMsNyRNXg
American Dragon: Jake Long - The Kill (30 Seconds To Mars) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0peELQ3RY0
So yeah, I'd appreciate it if you guys checked them out. These are the other MVs I'm working on but am yet to post.
DP - Running From Me (Trust Company), DP - Our Darkest Days (Eighteen Visions), AD:JL - Lost In The Crowd (Shinedown), AD:JL - Hearts Burst Into Fire (Bullet For My Valentine), AD:JL - Reverse Soundtrack (Something For Kate).
Anyway, talk to you guys later! ![]()
(Long Overdue) Update
Well, I was just surfing the net a couple of days ago and thought I might stop by her, for the first time in... God only knows how long.
So uh, what's up with me? Well, I got ticks to a Linkin Park concert in Sydney on the 20th, which is only 7 or 8 days away now... Woot! I also just got back from a trip through the U.S. and Canada a week and a half ago. That was awesome! We went through most of NYC, and up through Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa and Toronto in Canada. My favourite part was probably Niagra Falls.
It was awesome in Canada though two, cause they (of course) had Canadian currency. So I (being the Nickelback nerd that I am XP) I went into a Starbucks and asked someone to hold one of my Canadian nickels so I could come later and ask "Can I have my nickel back?" (ala Mike Kroeger of that same band XD) Yeah, I'm weird... And well aware of it. lol
Anywho, that was fun. Still a bit jet-lagged though after being on the plane for like 27 hours :S But it was definitely worth it.
Hols end for me soon, and I'll be heading back to my final term of Year 10. From there on, I'll be doing my final two high school years (which are both going to be pretty major). So, I'm just going to try and enjoy what time I have left before we all get pretty much swamped. I have my School Certificate Trials second week back and the actual exams 5th week back, and there's a Maths test I'm gonna have to do that I missed while I was on my America trip... But that's life I guess.
So yeah, that's been life for me over the past few days.
I don't know how much I'll be able to be on here so if you ever want to talk, and I'm not being active with my blogs or replying to PMs or whatever, here's some of my contact info.
MSN/main email: luigi_god@hotmail.com
AIM: BiggestNBFan (You'd have better luck catching me on MSN though, seeing as I hardly use my AIM)
Myspace: www.myspace.com/biggestnbfan(You might want to message me and let me know who you are when you add me, because sometimes if I don't know someone I'll just delete or deny their add).
DA Page: http://spyder-m.deviantart.com/
I also spend a lot of time on the American Dragon: Jake Long Proboards and you'll be very likely to catch me there. Here's a link to my profile: http://americandragon.proboards60.com/index.cgi?action=viewprofile
So yeah, hope to hear from you guys more often! I've said this a lot before, but I'm thinking about trying to make a bit of more regular return to this site (or at least keep my blog up to date). I can't really make any promises though, because school and extra curricular activities are constantly keeping me busy, and my parents are limiting my net time to weekends and hols only, but I'll do my best.

ADJL Music Video
Just something I threw together because I was bored.
Credit goes to Something For Kate for the song and American Dragon: Jake Long for the footage (Season 1)
It's not the best, and some of the footage got messed up when I saved it as a movie file, but I hope you like it nonetheless. =D
I'm thinking of doing a similar one later, it will be better then this one though. Well, that's what I hope. I was gonna use the song "Gifts And Curses" from Yellowcard, but anyway, what did you think?
Level 14 (99%)
First To Leave Home
Well, as of tomorrow my older sister Alex will be leaving for University tomorrow.
She got a really good mark on her final exam (99.15 to be more specific) and will be studying Vet Science, which she is really happy about as that is something she's wanted to do for as long as I could remember.
Anyway, once she's gone I'll be the oldest in my family... Um, yay? XD
Albums Of The Year 2007!
Well, now that it's the year 2007 a lot of bands are releasing new albums, a lot of which are personally favs of mine.
2006 was awesome as it Breaking Benjamin's new album "Phobia", Something For Kate's follow up "Desert Lights", Killswitch Engage's "As Daylight Dies", Trust Company's return as Amity Lane with "The Sound Of Regret", Yellowcard's "Lights & Sounds", Staind's Greatest Hits CD... The list goes on and on.
But we're now only 2 months into the new year and already there are 5 different bands I like bringing out new albums.
Story Of The Year, Trapt, Seether, Linkin Park, and above all.... NICKELBACK! XD Also, Good Charlotte are having a new album soon. I'm not a massive GC Fan like a used to be but I dunno... Maybe their newie will recindle my love for them. XD
Okay, I'm officially obsessed.
Ever since my birthday when I got their DVD/CD "Live In The Lou/Bassassins" and their second album "In The Wake Of Determination" I've become obsessed with Story Of The Year.
I've always liked them, but that was only when I had their first album "Page Avenue", now that I've heard their later songs and seen their concerts (which are f*cking awesome btw) they've become my 3rd favourite band (second only to Killswitch Engage and Nickelback)
For those of you who do not know Story Of The Year, here is a pic of them.

They are a punk/rock band from St Louis, who I strongly recommend to anyone who likes music along those types of genree.
You can listen to some of their songs here: http://www.maverick.com/storyoftheyear/site/main-index.html
And here: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=22659677
They're all cool, but my favs out of those songs would have to be "Taste The Poison", "We Don't Care Anymore" and "Until The Day I Die."
Their best songs (in my opinion) are "In The Shadows", "And The Hero Will Drown", "Is This My Fate? He Asked Them" and "Taste The Poison."
They will be bringing out a new album sometime this year which I am psyched about, and I'm definitely going to make sure I grab some tickets if they ever swing by Aus on tour.
They seriously put on the best live shows ever. Here's just a small preview of what their concerts are like:

So yah, that's about it. XD Feel free to comment on them or whatever you want. I don't really care lol
Straight Back Into It
So yeah, I went back to school recently and started Year 10. It's been pretty cool so far, not as hard as I imagined but I've still been busy. I've also had to cut down on my net time due to some... Let's say, dissapointing results last semester (although, I did really well in the first semester)
Anyway, it's just weird to go from being really layed back to returning to a strict routine. I've also had a lot of trouble getting up in the mornings, seeing as I have trouble getting to sleep at night 0_o
But yeah, just letting you know I've been busy as of late and I'm going to be busy for the whole school term. We've already got quite a few assignments and are beginning work for our School Certificate (which is basically just end of year exams)
I've got a lot of other outside commitments too, such as my sport. I'm playing tennis outside of school in a comp on Monday and Thursday, as well as training on Tuesday. I also play Basketball for my school which is hard because we have to train at 6:45 Thursday morning, and then play a game on Saturday; a lot of which are away games that involve taking along bus trips to schools, 2-3 hours away.
That's just on top of my guitar practice and fanart/fanfiction updates, which are both taking up quite a lot of spare time. I'm also hoping to go for my L's soon, now that I'm 16 XD
So yeah, just letting you know if I'm not on as often that's probably why. If you want, you can always talk to me through PM or email, I don't mind.
Woot! My 16th!
Top Albums Of The Year 2006!
Because we've almost round up yet another year I was thinking of reviewing what I think were the best albums released in this wonderful year of 2006. So yeah, here they are!
#10 Staind - The Singles: 1996-2006
An awesome greatest hits album, for an awesome band (the perfect combination! XD) Capturing Staind's most sucessful and popular songs that have topped charts and captured hearts for over a decade.
Definitely worth buying for the fan of Staind, or even just the fan of rock. Either way, you will love it!
Single(s): N/A
Fav Song(s): "Right Here", "So Far Away"
#9 "When Your Heart Stops Beating" - (+44)
A great new band in my opinion. This impressive punk rock quartet (formed by former Blink 182 Members, Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus) made their debut with the album "When Your Heart Stops Beating", featuring catchy guitar riffs and unique vocal work of Hoppus, creating songs that cover several different styles of rock, punk and alternative rock.
Definitely something I would recommend you look into.
Single(s): "Lycanthrope" (UK Release Only), "When Your Heart Stops Beating", "155" (To be released in 07)
Fav Song(s): "When Your Heart Stops Beating", "No It Isn't"
#8 "Every Man For Themselves" - Hoobastank
A new and awesome album from one of my favourites Hoobastank. With the amazing vocal talent of Douglass Robb who creates catchy and emotional charged songs with this album being no exception. I love this album, and I'm sure you'll love it too.
Single(s): "If I Were You", "Inside Of You", "Born To Lead"
Fav Song(s): "Inside Of You"
#7 "One-X" - Three Days Grace
After three years since their debut album "Three Days Grace", Canadian rock band "Three Days Grace" followed up with the album "One-X" delivering a smashing rock album that featuring Adam Gontier's unique vocals, impressive drums by Sanderson and catchy guitarwork of Stock and Walst which made awesome songs you want to listen to over and over again, such as the smash hit single "Animal I Have Become". Very worth buying.
Single(s): "Animal I Have Become", "Pain"
Fav Song(s): "Gone Forever"
#6 "Stadium Arcadium" - Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Although I'm quite a big Chilli Peppers fan I hate to say that this album didn't live up to my expectations as much as I thought it would.
Their first single "Dani California" wasn't really their greatest song (in my opinion) but over time the album grew on me, and so did songs like "Tell Me Baby" and "Snow (Hey Oh)" which are both quite catchy, and really do showcase the old school RHCP style.
I would recommend this album to any RHCP song as even though I was a little dissapointed by it at first I believe that it grows on you and is still worth having in your CD collection.
Single(s): "Dani California", "Tell Me Baby", "Snow (Hey Oh)", "Hump de Bump" (To be released in 07), "Desecration Smile" (To be released in 07)
Fav Song(s): "Torture Me"
#5 "Lights & Sounds" - Yellowcard
"Lights & Sounds", the smash hit album from the Floridian punk band and a favourite of mine, Yellowcard.
It features a much more rock style, after the introduction of their new lead guitarist Ryan Mendez (replacing Ben Harper), different to their softer, more harmonic previous album "Ocean Avenue".
This album features the title track "Lights & Sounds" (featured on the games Burnout: Revenge and Burnout: Legends) and "Rough Landing, Holly" (featured on the game FlatOut 2) which are played by a unique combination of rock instruments and more "orcestral" instruments such as mandolin, violin and piano.
All the songs of this C.D. are great and they all are catchy (covering both soft and hard rock), emotional (without being emo) and tell a story through the lyrics.
Definitely worth buying!
Single(s): "Lights & Sounds", "Rough Landing, Holly", "Down On My Head" (To be released in 07)
Fav Song(s): "Sure Thing Falling", "Waiting Game", "Holly Wood Died", "Lights & Sounds"
#4 "Shine On" - Jet
One of Australia's most popular bands are the four piece rock and roll band from Melbourne, Jet. They grew evermore sucessful with the release of their new album "Shine On", having 6 singles released which experiment in a more heavy and rock sort of style (taking after Aussie Rock'n'roll legends AC/DC) but never losing their reputation for creating popular and addictive songs.
Single(s): "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is", "Bring It On Back", "Rip It Up", "Stand Up", "Shine On" (To be released in 07), "Skin And Bones" (To be released in 07)
Fav Song(s): "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is"
#3 "Desert Lights" - Something For Kate
One of my all time favourite bands are Aussie rock trio, Something for Kate who blew through the charts with their smash hit album "Desert Lights". Something for Kate deliver a harmonic, poetic, and unique rock style with some of their greatest songs yet! I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys those softer and more harmonic styles of rock.
Single(s): "Cigarettes & Suitcases", "Oh Kamikaze"
Fav Song(s): "Oh Kamikaze"
#2 "Phobia" - Breaking Benjamin
I swear, these guys get better every time they release an album. You want proof? Listen to this album. You'll believe me.
All the songs on this album are awesome showcasing Burnley's awesome vocals and lyrical stylings folowed by the crushing guitar riffs and drum work of the rest of the band.
I was hooked from the moment I heard their first single, and now I am eagerly awaiting the next one.
Single(s): "The Diary Of Jane", "Breath"
Fav Song(s): "Evil Angel", "Had Enough"
And finally... Here is my pick for the album of 2006!
#1 "As Daylight Dies" - Killswitch Engage
An absolutely awesome, mind blowing album featuring an awesome combo of melodic death and catchy harmonies creating the style uniquely showcased by Melodic Death by Killswitch Engage.
Howard Jones has one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard before in my life! A perfect 10, easily one of the greatest albums I have ever bought.
Single(s): "My Curse"
Fav Song: "Reject Yourself", "The Arms Of Sorrow"
^ Well, that's it. Feel free to use this as a blog yourself if you want. It would be interesting to compare some results.

Anyway, I'm not as busy anymore and with the hols round the end on top of the fact that I'll be getting broadband within the next 2 weeks I'll be able to on here a lot more, so if you want to chat or whatever, just feel free to PM me.

This is the song that never ends,
Yes it goes on and on my friends...
Some people, started singing it not knowing what it was,
And they just kept on singing it forever, just because.

Haven't blogged in awhile...
Hey guys, just making this blog cause well.. Frankly, I haven't done one in ages. I've been quite busy as of late.
They've been preparing us for Year 10 at school, which means lots of tests and assessments. A lot of which are coming up within just a few days.
On top of that I've been spending most of my time working on fanfics, fanart, writing songs, online (talking to friends and surfing the AD:JL Proboards mainly) and just having some time to myself.
I do plan to try and surf on her a lot more in the future though. Lately, I've been trying to become editor for the South African band Seether (I'm almost there, just need to make a few more submissions)
Anyway, I'll cya round!
I'm back!
Hey guys, just making this blog to let you know I'm back from my exchange.
I had the most awesome time! I can't wait to tell you all about it.
Anyway, can't wait to get back online more often.
