Ok, I'm over it
So I'm totally over My Chemical Romance.
Haha, but I will not create a new account. I like this name.
Just thought I'd let that out.
Oh how people change. Woe is when bands fall victim to the clawing, evil hands of those monsters called "mane stream".
new used me
Ok, so i've been here before. This is my second account, but I couldn't stand my other name. This is better.
Favourite Artist: My Chemical Romance, only problem is that they're a bit too dark. It's not really a problem actually. It's just sort of weird, because I'll listen to their album, then turn around and plug in some Relient K... Christian Rock...
No matter what, i love them, both MCR and RK, but enough abbreviations, here's to a new name.

Recent Reviews
I recently bought this CD, maybe 9 days ago, and I've listened to it over 30 times!
Other than their popular releases "Face Down" and "False Pretense", the album contains big hits like "Waiting" and softer song "Cat and Mouse". The whole CD is amazing, there's nothing bad to say about it.
All of the songs are either directly influenced by experiences of Ronnie Winter (lead vocals), the other band mates, or their friends. "Your Guardian Angel" describes what Winter feels is his love, and "Seventeen Ain't So Sweet" is about a female friend of theirs that hasn't yet made it big in the music business, but it trying hard.
There are twelve tracks, and one untitled track. It's hard to find any misses in all these hits. The only thing I can say, (which only really affects me because most people couldn't care any less), is that it would be over amazing if there was a bit more flow between the tracks, one minor thing I find the album is lacking.
I totally reccommend this album, because I absolutely adore it. Even listening to it non-stop for the last week has not worn out my love for it; I simply appreciate it more, and the feeling the band put into it.

A while ago, after seeing them on last.fm, I was strangely attracted to their attitude and name. They were quite unknown and had not yet released an album other than their EP, so I forgot about them.
Last month, I heard an amazing song on my local radio station that is known for playing the "hits", all pop, rap, R&B, and the wimpy rock that has lost their appeal to the real rock fans because of selling their souls to mainstream. This song, already catchy and full of feeling, had a hint of screamo in it. I couldn't believe my ears! The radio finally decided to play something with screamo! No more songs about making love! But as soon as it started, it was over, and back to the "gangsters" that were previously rapping.
I couldn't believe it, the song "Face Down", was by the same artist I found that while ago. So I found their website, and was forced to listen to the samples of their album over and over. It wasn't until the next week that I decided I needed their album.
I love this band. I think they're amazing, and I believe they will go very far, without ever losing their character like so many other great bands.

A while ago, I wanted to buy their newest album, Mmhmm, but I couldn't find it at the store I was looking at. I asked for help, and he led me to the Gospel section. I couldn't believe it! Gospel! Later, if found it's way into the Punk sections.
Relient K is one of those rock bands who break the barrier between mainstream or great rock and Christian-Rock. Until you listen to all their albums, it's hard to notice their Christian influence. For me, their Christianity is a major plus. Not only are their lyrics hilarious, but they also have great messages, both spiritual and moving about life and society. Truthfully, I had a hard time believing they were Christian. (Not that Christian-rock is all bad, it's just nice that they're not too preachy like most of them tend to be)

I must say, I was anything but disappointed when I bought this album. I cannot describe their overall maturity, even Adam, lead vocals, voice matured. Their sound is much cleaner but also harder hitting at the same time. There's emotion and energy in "Liar (It Takes One To Know One)" and "What's It Feel Like to Be a Ghost?" the hard-rocking opening songs, but this feeling carries through even the softer songs of "My Blue Heaven" and "Divine Intervention". If you are a fan of their older stuff, I might recommend "Miami". I'm not sure why, but it reminds me most of their older sound, not that their "new" sound is bad, it is simply them, but better, if that's possible.
Overall, this album is amazing, and gets better each time you listen to it. If it doesn't buy you the first time, by the second or third, you'll be in love.
Also, they were amazing live. They've had some bad shows (Live Earth), but the crowd went wild with "Liar", so wild, I ended up on the complete opposite side of the theater.
Great album. No, terrific and amazing album.

Not many Canadian bands seem to be making it big in this scene, but Silverstein, to me, is one of the exceptions. With each of their albums, there is a definate maturation of sound and style. Worth the listen!
