Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 first impressions + Dirt 2 review

I bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 last earlier today, I was planning on buying it from my local GAME store on release day (friday 2/10) but they were selling it for £45, so I tagged along when the rest of the family went to ASDA and bought it for £30 instead! I knew GAME would usually be a few pounds more but £15 is another games worth! Dead Space Extraction (Wii) was £10 more there aswell, which I bought for £30 from Blockbuster last week (good game BTW, I'll have to write a review sometime).

Anyway, I've put a few hours into Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and so far I really like it, the combat is as good as ever and the easier difficulty speeds up the pacing through the game; so far I've beaten every boss first time, though the final boss of Chapter 1 left me with no healing items and so little life I thought I was dead. Though it doesn't seem like it's quite upto Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox. Somehow the controls don't feel quite as tight (maybe I'll get used to them) and the 'improved' camera doesn't really feel improved as there are more tight areas that it seems to struggle with than in the first game. Also, the music in Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox was perfect and this just feels a bit uninspired so far...And I've got to mention it - Team Ninja really need to get over their obbsession with boobs and their ridiculas costumes, it's just too much . Also, I actually prefer the toned-down gore and blood and don't get why some people are making a fuss over it. Similarly with No More Heroes (the PAL version didn't have blood), I just don't find gushes of blood splattering everywhere appealing and the toned down versions look fine, these games are still violent enough aren't they? Though I have to admit with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 when you chop of a limb it looks a bit out of place and looks more like it has been done with a Lightsaber than the Dragon Sword - they should have added dual Lightsabers as an unlockable weapon ...now I'm being ridiculas.

Also, I finished Batman Arkham Asylum last week and it was brilliant (another game to review then). You can tell Rocksteady really put a lot of effort into it; the game world is very detailed and the characters are great. In my opinion, the Joker in the game looks better than any of the actors playing him in the films.Probably my game of the year so far.

And here's a link to my Dirt 2 review I just posted.
