Witchblade!
Has anyone seen the anime? Minus the fact that the main character's attire is um, a bit lacking, it seems really good. I've only been able to see the first episode of it ANYWHERE, so I'm having some issues progress wise.
It's not about some 13 year old sparkly kitten eared tween who finds out she can talk to beavers, but it's actually about a mother. What's even better is it's based off an American comic (and it was made into a TV series, but due to conflicts with the main actress it was cancelled), so even people who might not like anime too much might enjoy it.
It's geared towards an older audience, so it doesn't have stupid things washed somewhere in the show. Oh, plus the dub is really pretty good also.
I'm probably just going to have to buy it since I can't find it anywhere in any other language other than German.
You can find the first episode in high quality english dub here.

BTW, It turns out that a friend of mine has the first volume, or whatever you call it, of the Witchblade comic series. I read the 1st chapter, and it was pretty good. The artwork was also really good, but it felt sort of similar to manga style artwork, although it retains an american comic-like feel to it (I guess it may be slightly influenced by manga). Anyways, my friend said that he would let me borrow what he has, so I'll be reading a little bit more of it, when I get the chance
I'm jealous! I've actually never read a classic American comic like Marvel's produced(for example), but I really want to read Witchblade.
That's so not fair. I guess there's always ebay.
Tell me how it goes when you're done!
I'll borrow the volume from my friend, and read some more of it, when I get a chance, but that actually won't be until I finish this stupid summer reading book (yeah, my college actually had the nerve to give me a summer reading book
