Hi. I haven't even logged onto TV.com since I don't know when. My reviews and old blog posts are embarrasing.

I know it's been a while since I last blogged on here, but this site really isn't what it used to be! I finished 1st year college last month. It was definitely a big year for me. Made new friends, but lost some old ones. But I guess that always happens...
End of Season Reviews
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 2
Season 2, though not as consistent as the first, was still pretty great! It had some VERY strong episodes and some weak ones of course. The season started off very strong, the first 7 or 8 episodes showed a lot of promise. Unfortunately things started slipping a little mid season. These weak episodes were still a lot better than some of the best episodes produced by some shows this year though! Thankfully the show redeemed itself in the last 6 episodes, with some of the best television of the season. Cameron, as per usual, stole the show. She is most definitely the glue that holds this show together. The story of the three dots was a little confusing, and at times a little silly. However the addition of Weaver was one of the best things about the season. She was played to perfection by Shirley Manson, who maintained that creepily cold feeling through every single scene. I'm devastated that the show was cancelled, but I can't say I didn't see it coming.
Best Character: Cameron
Best Episode: Born to Run. Easily the best season finale this year. Best episode of the entire series. That creepy bedroom scene between John ad Cameron was...so....weird! The ending showed what a great third season the show could have had too.
Smallville Season 8
Smallville season 8 was a good improvement over the previous disastrous season, though not the best yet. I loved the whole new feel to the show, and watching Allison Mack take on lead female was a delight. Davis and Tess were great additions to the cast, and the writers dealt with the departure of Lana and Lex surprisingly well. Not being an Oliver fan, I was really annoyed by his constant presence this season. The first half of the season was consistent enough, though there were one or two doozies in there, like Toxic. I loved Bride and Legion which showed what great things the writers could come up with if they actually tried hard enough. The second half was a lot weaker than the first, but the Chloe 'Beauty and the Beast' story was an entertaining twist. The season finale was a bit of a letdown and lacked the power that Smallville finales usually have. That being said the season did see an increase in standard over season 7, though I have my doubts over their ability to carry it on into season 9.
Best Character: Chloe. Duh!
Best Episode: Tie between Bride and Legion
Desperate Housewives Season 5
Wow. What a letdown. After an amazing fourth season, this show just became dull, repetitive and just plain annoying. Bree, once one of the greatest characters, became boring and b*tchy. Lynette's storylines just seemed to happen over and over again. Believe in your husband for God's sake! Susan's love triangle was completely ridiculous and dragged out. Despite that, seeing Gaby as a mother was hilarious, and I found myself enjoying her storylines a lot more this season. It was nice to have the old Gaby back by the second half of the season though. The Dave mystery was the most predictable one yet. Yet the writers had him featured in every episode, plaguing the show till the end of the season. Edie's death was a TERRIBLE loss to the show. I really hope to see a big improvement next year. Among those things, can the mystery be connected to Gaby or Lynette for once??
Best Character: Gaby
Best Episode: If it's only in your head. Solely due to the scene with Susan trying to protect MJ.
Thanks for reading! I've been checking up on a few other reviews posted by other users. Keep em' coming! Ttfn...( Get the Buffy Reference anyone?!)
The Challenge: Pick any 5 memorable aspects from any TV show over the last year (memorable aspects can be characters, moments, episodes, relationships etc!)
I've tried to put a bit of variety in here, these aren't my top 5, it'd be too hard to do that so these are just the first 5 I thought of, as a word of warning, obviously as this whole blog is about moments from the last season of whatever show I'm talking about - it's probably best to avoid reading about any show you haven't seen yet so as to avoid spoilers!
Character: Alpha, Dollhouse

So one of my favourite new characters in TV this last season was Alpha from Dollhouse, without question. The threat of Alpha was my favourite story of Dollhouse, I haven't been Dollhouse's biggest fan, I mostly just enjoyed rather than loved it - but I always liked the idea of Alpha. Then Alan Tudyk came into an episode and I was really happy as he was playing the quirky funny type character I expected of him... needless to say that didn't last! I was shocked when he was Alpha (not sure if I was the only one and everybody else expected it!); but I loved him, he was creepy, and menacing...but still had funny lines. I think the best part of the Alpha character is it wasn't what I was expecting yet it worked so well, and Alan Tudyk is such an underrated actor... I have to say I loved Dollhouse just for him in the last 2 episodes - for me he was the best aspect of the show (which I'm sure many will disagree with!). But yeah - can you tell, I loved Alpha?! Not sure if I was too subtle...
Entrance: Castiel, Supernatural (1min 20 sec is where it kicks off for me!)

One of my favourite entrances in the last year of TV was Castiel's in Supernatural, I mean wow! I loved the idea of bringing in the Angel storyline, although I definitely remember thinking those wings don't look so angelic! I'm not sure what other people think of Castiel in general, he's ok for me (I still watch it for the brothers, and the brothers alone!) - but I loved his big entrance scene. Awesome TV! I couldn't look away and I remembered it first for this challenge despite it being the very first episode of the last Supernatural season - which is a sign that it was a great TV moment for me!
Finale: Chuck

I loved Chuck this season, much more so than season 1. There were so many moments in the last few episodes that were brilliant - I narrowed it down to just 3 moments in the last episode, which were Jeffster, Casey coming to the rescue and of course, Kung Fu Chuck! So this favourite really just refers to the Chuck finale; I think it was one of my favourite finales across all the shows I watch - it had so many funny moments, and dramatic moments - awesome! Although have to say, I was half expecting Kung Fu Chuck... but that still didn't quite prepare for the true wonder that was that finale... "Chuck Me" indeed !!
Storyline: Consequences of Vicodin, House

This storyline was amazing, great TV. Personally for me House just got fantastic towards the end of this season (not sure if that's a popular opinion or not); having also seen the Grey's Anatomy version of "hallucinations", I can say without a doubt that House is so so much better! I loved the progression of this storyline through the episodes and have to say all my pictures refer to House's realization that he hadn't kicked the habit and been with Cuddy - and I just loved and hated that moment all at the same time. I was absolutely surprised, but loved it, all building up to another brilliant finale... I think I liked it so much because typically House is very much about the individual episode, different patients and stories every week but this just felt like such a change in such a good way! I was a little disappointed about the House and Cuddy moment not being real but somehow I didn't feel cheated (unlike...no names mentioned...cough....Booth and Brennan...cough!).
Relationship: Penny and Sheldon

Ok so first off - I know this as a romantic relationship is all in my head. My hubby insists I'm crazy for this one, but it's there!! It's totally there!! Sadly, for this choice I can only talk about the platonic relationship as everybody (including the guy who plays Sheldon!) is denying anything more could exist! I love these two together, their dynamic is perfect - always funny and entertaining... The Christmas hug and the whole story preceding it were absolutely hilarious, and who can forget Penny singing Sheldon to sleep - "Soft kitty, warm kitty" ! I know the relationship will probably never progress anywhere but I love them as friends, and would just love it that little bit more if they were a proper couple!! Awesome characters individually, so I don't even have words to describe the Super-Awesomeness that is them together! ![]()
Other Worthy Mentions:

I'm not going to talk about these, but I watch so many shows now (a seriously insane number I can't bring myself to share!) so it was really really hard for me to cut it down to just 5 moments, so here's 3 more, which are: Bones - Brennan sharing her sad story to Sweets (so emotional and unexpected for her!), Pushing Daisies - Chuck hugging Ned through a plastic sheet on the roof and Dexter - the whole storyline surrounding Miguel was awesome!
There were so many more great characters and moments in TV this last year (needless to say the Bones finale will not be featuring in this list!!), be interesting to know what your favourites were...
Anyway, I better stop thinking about it or I'll remember too many other moments! Have a great week ![]()

At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty.
The alligator, one of the oldest and
ultimate predators, normally considered the 'apex predator', can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and 'survival of the pack mentality' bred into the canines.
See the remarkable photograph below courtesy of Nature Magazine.Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the gator preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the gator.
Not for the squeamish!
