Good stuff.

I'm officially a big bad 21 year old! My dinner/the madness afterwards went perfectly. I took a shot of patron with my dad and 2 of my brothers and took a bunch of pictures of the dinner and the bar afterwards. I've been lazy about getting them developed though. I'll take care of that today, if I remember. My twin brother ended up getting completely hammered and tried to climb trees outside of the restaurant which in turn got the entire party cut off from alcohol. I think he was kinda proud of himself for doing that too. I, on the other hand thought it was pretty embarrasing. My mom and dad sat there shaking their heads as he made a complete ass out of himself. I had a great night though, everyone who mattered was there. It was awesome.

I managed to make my largest paycheck at my current job for these past 2 weeks. It's funny considering I only worked 2 days last week and everything else was covered. It really allowed me some time to get my head clear after all the partying that took place over the week of my birthday which JUST SO HAPPENED to fall on the same week as 2 of my good friend's 21st birthdays AND ST. PATTY'S DAY. My liver got a workout last week and now I'm letting it recoup from all of it.

I have to work the next 2 Saturdays at my job, which sucks but I DID get the last 2 Saturdays off so it's only fair. An eye for an eye, a Saturday for a Saturday. I might be going up to Lake Tahoe and staying at a friend's cabin with 11 other people during the first week or so of April also. Hopefully that works out, I haven't been to Tahoe in FOREVER so it'd be nice to go up there.

Tomorrow is Friday, Amen to that.

Camping - Round 2

So two weeks ago the gang and I plus my brother and his friends were supposed to go camping up at the East Park Reservoir in Stonyford. Turns out that the weather had other plans for us so we got stuck at home. I hate how rain can do that. After my meticulous planning...it's all ruined by RAIN. Well, the weather for this weekend looks wonderful so we're giving it another shot! It's going to be Tobi, April, Cole, Mike, Jesse, Sean, Chris, Ian and Zach. There will probably be more people interested in coming as these few days unfold. I'm excited! My last camping trip didn't go so well so I'm glad I get to do this trip with a bunch of people I love and I know I'll have a good time with. I'll be taking pictures too which I'll probably be posting on my myspace page so that's worth checking out I'd say. It's going to be a pretty rad time.

I can't believe it's only Wednesday too. It feels so Thursday-ish.

Seven Things [TAGGED!]

Ryan tagged me. So here goes, 7 things you all didn't know about me.

1. I have a HUGE fear or spiders. If one were to land/crawl onto me I immediantly freak out and rip off outer layers of clothing. I also can't return to the area where the spider was for at least an hour. I know, I'm weird. My brother used to chase me around the house with an enlarged picture of a spider's face when we were kids and it pretty much scarred me for life.

2. I love Indian and Thai food more than any other type of food because it's unique and has flavors that I haven't been tasting for my whole life. Give it a chance! I suggest trying Aloo Gobi (Indian) or Papaya salad (Thai).

3. I have 5 tattoos to date. A star on my right ankle, an ancient symbol meaning "repel all evil" on my left ankle (that I actually just got yesterday), an artistic rendering of the silouhette of a cat between my shoulder blades (it gets a lot of attention when I wear tank tops), an oak tree on the lower left of my back/side and a rose with my grandfather's intitals. They're addicting.

4. I'm in the process of growing my hair out to donate it to Locks of Love.

5. I've been ordering the same sandwich from all sandwich shops since...forever. Turkey, cheddar cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and pepper on sourdough. It still tastes good so why change it?

6. I'm a great shot with a rifle. Been shooting guns for a few years now.

7. And lastly, depsite my exterior look I can scream and growl just as hard as the boys in the metal bands. It's shocked people in the past. I love metal!!

Okay, so now I suppose I'm suppose to tag 3 other people so I piiiiiick (eenie, meanie, mynie, mo...)

1. Maisy13
2. mcsteamyandme
3. Tilltheendoftime

Hopefully you all now have a better understanding of just who I am. That was actually kinda fun! Thanks Ryan!

Thank you!

I'd like to send a very special thank you to all the people who stopped by and left their condolences on my last blog. It meant a lot to me. I'm hanging in there but it has been hard over these past few days.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. You guys are great.

Rest in Peace
Esperanza Norris

RIP Esperanza "Hope" Norris 1921-2007

I fell asleep pretty early last night. It was probably around 6 or 7 when I laid down in bed to watch my new CSI DVD from Netflix. Disc 8 of Season 2. I think it's the last disc in the season, I always feel somewhat accomplished when I finish a season too. Earlier yesterday I had gone out for my favorite drive around Wooden Valley Road and just as I turned a corner there was a hawk sitting in the middle of the road, just hanging out. He slowly opened his wings and flew right over my car. It was pretty cool, his wingspan was easily 8 feet, maybe more. I love all forms of nature.

As I had mentioned in my last entry, my grandma was pretty sick. Well, last night at 7:40PM she past away. I talked to my mom this morning before leaving for work since she was there when she died. She said the doctor was talking to her and my aunt about doing an autopsy on her since that's the only definitive way to tell if she really had Alzheimer's (which she did) and just as the doctor asked my mom there was an earthquake. A small earthquake, I actually felt it myself too. My mom smiled and said "I think she just answered for us." So no autopsy on my grandma. I prefer that myself too. They don't need to start cutting into her. I love my grandma very much. I thought a lot about her yesterday before I got the news and she's going to be in my thoughts for a while to come now. I realize also now that my mom and all her siblings no longer have their parents. My grandpa died 6 years ago and now my grandma yesterday. I don't know how I'm going to feel when MY parents die. I don't even want to think about it. Life is such a fragile thing. Rest in Peace Espi.
