Ranking The Jossverse Or Whedonverse Or Whatever.

What? Two blogs in two days? No way! Way. Anywho, with excitement for Joss Whedon's all new sure to be awesome show Dollhouse, I have decided to rank every season of Buffy, Angel and Firefly in one blog! Note: each description of each season will contain SPOILERS!!! for those seasons mentioned.

13. Firefly
Season 1
Best Episode: Objects In Space
Best Character: River

For me Firefly just didn't have the same spark that both Buffy and Angel had. Maybe I didn't have enough time to get attached to the characters because this was a very brief season. I did love River, and the last episode was amazing. I'm just glad 'Serenity' was a great improvement on the TV show.

12. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Season 1
Best Episode: Prophecy Girl
Best Character: Buffy

This season had a decent story arc, but there was not enough time spent on it. The characters were immediately fun and the show was decent. This has to be at the bottom as BtVS just got better with time. It was fun, but nothing like what was about to come.

11. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Season 2
Best Episode: Innocence
Best Character: Drusilla

This is widely considered to be one of Buffy's best seasons. Which I just don't get. It was a fun season, but to get to episodes as great as Innocence, Passion, and I Only Have Eyes For You you had to sit through Reptile Boy, Inca Mummy Girl and Some Assembley Required.

10. Angel
Season 4
Best Episode: Orpheus
Best Character Fred

This season started out wonderfully, we had all the crazyness of an upcoming apocalypse, and it just kept getting better. Evil Cordy! Willow! Faith! And then everything just started going wrong. Cordy walked down the stairs and she was knocked up with Connor's lovechild after a disgusting night together during Apocalypse, Nowish. Things just didn't make sense for me. Its a shame really, as it started out so strongly.

09. Angel
Season 3
Best Episode Birthday
Best Character Fred

The Pregnant Darla arc gave the show some memorable episodes, and the aftermath we Holtz and the fake prophecy also had some fun episodes. However, I'd say I hated every episode with Teen Connor, as well as a few not so great episodes scattered throughout the season. Mostly fun though.

08. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Season 6
Best Episode Once More, With Feeling
Best Character Tara

This season is probably the hardest for me to sum up. There is so much to love, and yet there is so much to hate. It was not fun seeing Buffy all depressed. It was even less fun having to endure Spuffy, especially when he tried to rape her. Tara and Willow's break up was depressing, and then they got together and I was ecstatic! And then Tara got shot and I was depressed again. As good as the Dark Willow arc was, I would have rather had Willow and Tara stay happy forever and ever...and ever. Pretty enjoyable, but at times pretty frustrating too.

07. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Season 7
Best Episode Conversations With Dead People
Best Character Anya

I liked this season but it did come with flaws. In the final year of a TV show, you want to see your favourite characters getting plenty of screentime. The problem is, at times the crappy Potentials sucked away screentime from characters we already loved. It did have its fair share of excellent episodes though (Conversations With Dead People, Help, Same Time, Same Place, Showtime and Chosen).

06. Angel
Season 5
Best Episode Not Fade Away
Best Character Fred

This season was packed full of awesome! A lot of great and light episodes, then we had the depressing ones, and then we had Team Angel never giving up! A pretty excellent final season if you ask me, shame about Spike!

05. Angel
Season 1
Best Episode Five By Five
Best Character Angel

Angel was a strong show right from the beginning, it had a great lead, great characters, fun episodes. The lack of a story arc doesn't affect this season's quality at all!

04. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Season 3
Best Episode Doppelgangland
Best Character Willow

One of Buffy's most loved seasons, and I definitely agree! The Faith arc was excellent, and the team up with the Mayor just made everything better. As well as this the characters were all as awesome as usual, and the standalones are excellent. What's not to love?

03. Angel
Season 2
Best Episode Reunion
Best Character Drusilla

For me this is definitely Angel's best season! The Darla arc was brilliant, and only got better when Dru tagged along! And, the Pylea arc was a nice and light change of pace even if it didn't live up to earlier episodes.

02. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Season 4
Best Episode Hush
Best Character Willow

I honesly do not get all the hate this season receives. Sure, the story arc plain sucked but everything else was pretty awesome in my opinion. I loved each episode (except for that icky Buffy/Riley episode in the haunted house or something..."Where The Wild Things Are") we got introduced to Tara, and everything was just great.

01. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Season 5
Best Episode The Body
Best Character Willow

I love everything about this season! The wonderful storyarc, Dawn's introduction, Emma Caulfield being a regular, the awesome new villain, it was just pure madness! Pure awesome madness.

Well! Those are my choices, do you agree? Disagree? Are you excited for Dollhouse?

My Top 10 Season Finales

The title pretty much sums up this blog! Also, for no apparent reason I have not included series finales in this list, so that is why Angel's "Not Fade Away" has not made it, and why...no I think that is it. Each number will contain SPOILERS!!! for the particular season finale mentioned.

10. The British Invasion

Dexter - Season 2, Episode 12
Pure insanity! Dexter's second season I felt was far stronger than the first, psychopathic English woman aside! This rounded everything off well, and is really making me anticipate season three.

09. Joan Rivers

Nip/tuck - Season 2, Episode 16
Nip/Tuck is always pretty crazy, but this episode is just insane. Ava's storyline is wrapped up nicely, the Carver strikes again, and Joan Rivers makes a fun guest spot. Awesome all round.

08. Remember

Desperate Housewives - Season 2, Episodes 23 & 24
Desperate Housewives' greatest season finale yet (IMO). This episode gives us some fan flashbacks, and ends the season's pretty crappy mystery with a bang.

07. Restless

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 4, Episode 22
A break from the usual (although awesome) lets save the world finales. A nice little dream episode with hidden meanings and references to future events.

06. Losing My Religion

Grey's Anatomy - Season 2, Episode 27
The finale of one excellent season of television! The last three episodes of Grey's second season were heavily focused on Izzie, and therefore they completely rocked. This was a lovely finale with a touching end, despite a crappy cliffhanger (who cares who Meredith picks!) this was excellent all around. Some wonderful acting from Katherine Heigl.

05. Not Pictured

Veronica Mars - Season 2, Episode 22
Season two is easily my favourite VM season, and this was easily the best finale! The bus crash mystery is ended in **** and it is frakkin' shocking. I could not believe what was happening the first time I watched it, and it is still pretty shocking today! Who would have seen that twist coming? Kristen Bell is superb as usual.

04. Prophecy Girl

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 1, Episode 12
The least flashy of Buffy's finales, but it is excellent none the less. The Master arc was probably one of the weaker story arcs the show has had since it didn't have as much time focused on it, but this was one hell of a finale!

03. Commencement

Smallville - Season 4, Episode 22
This is definitely the best of Smallville's finales! The action is ramped up, I love all the crazyness, the flawless effects, the count down to the metoer shower and all the drama! Why can't all of Smallville's finales be like this?

02. The Telling

Alias - Season 2, Episode 22
Madness! Action-packed, well written, and with a cliffhanger that is pretty frakkin' crazy making sure you will definitely be tuning into the season premiere! As well as this, Jennifer Garner gives (one of many) amazing performances.

01. All Hell Breaks Loose

Charmed - Season 3, Episode 22
Charmed never got better than this, in my opinion. All Hell Breaks Loose was an action packed, well acted, well written, cliffhangery hour of awesome.

A Whole Bunch Of Stuff!

Hey everyone! I think its great that Obama has been elected President, I don't know much about politics but he seems like a really nice person and I'm sure he'll do a great job! I have a Maths test next week! And the week after, a Science test! And then work experience! And then an entire week of Christmas tests!

Grey's...No Longer Gay - Spoilers Ahead For Those Who Don't Know!
Source:
Ausiello, EW.com
I'm sure most of you have heard, but Brooke Smith has been fired from Grey's Anatomy. Apparently because her character was a lesbian, I just think that is not a valid reason for firing someone. I love Erica, she is outspoken and she isn't afraid to stand up to anyone (loved her telling off the Chief on her first day at Seattle Grace). I'm gonna miss Erica Hahn, and I hope her storyline doesn't end as abruptly as it apparently will. Although, I'm guessing it'll be awhile before I see season five. Although I do love Erica, and it is clear that the Network Execs haven't handled this properly (you could have at least let her finish the season or something!), the cast of Grey's is getting crowded.

DVDS To Watch
Some of the DVDs I haven't gotten around to watching yet, not many though!
- Lost season one - Halfway through, and I'm loving it!
- Lost season two - Obviously haven't seen this yet but its nice to know I can just go ahead when I finish season one!
- Walk The Line - Looks like a good enough film!
- The Air I Breathe - I honestly only bought this because of Sarah Michelle Gellar! It has been ages since I've seen her in a new role!

Last week I finished reading Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons", and I have to say I could not put it down! It was a great thriller with so many twists and turns it'd make your head spin! Can't wait for the film. I'm gonna read "The Da Vinci Code'' next.

I have been listening to the new Girls Aloud song - "The Promise" quite abit. Yes, I like Girls Aloud. Sue me! Okay don't, my parents would hit the roof if I got them sued during the Credit Crunch!

Bye everyone, have a nice day!

Villains

Yayness! I'm currently on Halloween break, so I have time to blog. Parent-Teacher meetings where this week, and it went really well. Although, I'm feeling a bit pressured to do well now after I get such good reports. I also have a bucketload of homework! Which I'm gonna try to finish in one day (Sunday) so I can have the week free to watch TV! I'm about halfway throught Lost season one and loving it! Love Claire, Sun and Locke.

My Top 10 Villains On TV
Yep! My ten favourite villains on television - thanks to whoever I stole this idea from!

10. The Devil - Reaper

Played brilliantly by Ray Wise, the Devil is mostly used for laughs. But he is definitley scary when he needs to be!
09. Ethan - Lost

This is one psycho who I would not like to cross! He definitley has that scary-crazy-madman vibe, and he kidnapped my favourite character! Sort of hate him, but love the drama he brought.
08. Georgina Sparks - Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl season one was at its best when Georgie was on the show! She was frakkin insane and Michelle Trachtenberg out acted the entire cast.
07. Cole Turner - Charmed

Cole was an excellent villain who had layers and was played perfectly by Julian McMahon. Then season five hit and he sort of got a bit stale, and then we had the completely pointless reappearance in season seven. But at his best, he was excellent.
06. Lilith - Supernatural

We all know little children are the root of all evil. Lilith is a demon...possessing little girls. I'm afraid it doesn't get much scarier than that.
05. The Carver

Apart from a dissapointing conclusion, I completely loved the Carver arc! The masked lunatic brought some excellent drama to the show.
04. Angelus - Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel

Angelus provided some of the most memorable moments in Buffy history...and with a show like Buffy, there are many memorable moments!
03. Irina Derevko - Alias

The reason Irina is such a great villian is basically because...you never know what side she is on. Can she be trusted? Will she turn her back on you? That is why I loved her, she kept things exciting!
02. Drusilla - Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel

I love me a good psychopath! And they don't get much crazier than Drusilla. Frakkin hilarious and never boring, Drusilla was not used as much as she should have been!
01. Eric Cartman - South Park

Again I'm bringing up the whole 'children are evil' thing, but this kid is pure
evil. He has killed, tried to exterminate the Jews, and done so many evil things across the many years South Park has been on the air...and you still don't know what he will do next!

Honourable mentions: Lex Luthor (Smallville), Glory (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), The Skins (Roswell), Kayla (Desperate Housewives), Peyton (Alias), and Darla (Buffy and Angel).

Thanks for reading everyone, I'll try to comment on your blogs now.

I is Sorry!

Sorry that I haven't been commenting on blogs as much anymore! I'm usually too tired to do anything. School is really tiring this year, even though it's pretty much the same as last year but with a little bit more work!

I'm currently watching Lost season one (don't spoil me!) and I'm about eleven episodes in. I'm enjoying it. I have already bought season two! I am really enjoying it so far! I haven't blogged about television in a while, so I'll say that Dexter season two ended here pretty recently and it was excellent. Much better than the first series. The season finale in particular was insane in a good way. I have recently watched the pilot episode of Big Love, and it is definitley an interesting series. I highly dislike the lead character, Bill is just irritating. Barb is my favourite character, I don't see why she would be with Bill and let him have two others wives. This series is interesting, I don't know if I'll stick with it though. I liked seeing Veronica Mars stars Amanda Seyfried and Tina Majorino in the same show!

That will be it for me. Hope everyone has a great week and I'm gonna go and try to catch up on more blogs now. My new icon is Chun Li aka Kristin Kruek from one of the new posters for the new Street Fighter film!
