We have pets/A Golden Girl passes away
Hi there everyone, I hope that all is well. Well last weekend was my wifes birthday and and for her birthday, I gave her some money to go and buy a couple of rabbits. My wife loves them and she had been wanting them for so long. I promised that I would give them for hr birthday and boy, was she excited. She had her eye on a rabbit and a guinnie pig at a pet store during the week but they wouldn't hold them for more than two hours so she was hoping that they would be there when we went there last Sunday. They were and there were screams of delight.
She got a little white rabbit that she called "BUGS" and a brown Guinnie Pig that she called "Chocolate". They are very cute and Definatly have very unique personalities.
On a sad note, I would like to say goodbye to Estelle Getty who passed away at 5:35 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22 in her home in Los Angeles surrounded by her family and caregivers. I had known that she had been gravely ill for a while now but this still comes as quite a shock. I remember the whole family sitting down of a night and watching this every week. I couldn't stop laughing. It has since become available on DVD and own all of what has been released. I even actually thought "Stop or my mum will shoot " was a bit of a hoot. Mainly because I kept laughing at Estelle.
I pass on my best wishes to all of her family and friends. R.I.P

Re-visiting Heath Ledger/New York Post Column
Hi people. I hope that everyone is well. I thought that for this blog that I would revisit a blog that I wrote a while ago that many of you would not have seen. I think that it is an appropriate time with "The Dark Knight" being released this week. I think that I might do a revisit everyonce in a while to see if peoples opinions change.
I am writing this to personally show my disgust at Andrea Peyser's column in the New York Post about Heath Ledger.
To call him reckless, greedy and selfish is just plain ignorant and wrong and to go much further and say that he "chose" to self destruct with medications with little or no regaurd for his daughter is heading towards defermation terretory.
The man is dead and his grieving family hav'nt even had the funeral yet and she comes out wiith these bogas comments to bring even more hurt to people. I'm not sure if she personaly knew him or not but either way, the comments don't serve any purpose other than to get her name in the headlines around the world.
The medical examiner ruled that it was an accidental overdose and not suicide.
I myself have suffered servere depression in the past and know that sometimes, you need that extra tablet to calm your nerves or fall asleep. What he did was an unfortunate mistake made by someone who was in a state of anxiousness and mudled thoughts just wanting to get some sleep and feel better. Maybe in a clearer mind, he would have thought twice about taking that concoction of tablets but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I feel sorry for people like Andrea who have these misguided views cause I can promise you that he loved his daughter and family immensly and I feel he just wanted to feel better so he could be a role model for his daughter.
I would like to pass on my best wishes to his family and friends and I hope that through hi work, he will live on forever.
Rest in peace Heath.

TV.com Pop-up advertising
Hi there everyone. I would first like to thanks everyone who commented on my last blog. I appreciate everyones input and have taken everyones opinions on board.
Now, this is only a short blog but it is about something that has been really annoying me lately. TV.com advertising. More specifily, when I click on a link on the site, 50% of the time, I get an advertisment for a show or product before going to where I wanted to go in the first place. Yes, we are given the option of skipping it but that is not the point. This site does very well promoting new shows without resorting to "Pop-up tactics". It is something that has really been bothering me lately.
Does this happen to other people and if so, what are peoples thoughts on it.

Television Violence
Hi there everyone, I hope that all is well. I am writing this blog today to voice my opinion on television violence and the blame groups and people are aimng at the networks. More specifically, they are blaming them for what there children watch, then go ou and copy it. Now not eveyone will agree with me but I am writing this to get my thoughts out there and to here other peoples thoughts.
Now I grew up in the 80's and there was a lot of violence on television and yes, I wished I could be Mr.T or Astroboy. But, my parents made the point of explaining to me that what I saw on television was not real and that I was not to copy what I saw. Yes, I played dress up and played cops and robbers but I was always supervised and if they thought things were getting out of hand, they pulled me back in line. If I did go to far, my parents never blamed televion but rather me for not listening or themselves for not keeping an eye on me. Now they had 4 children to look after so it was hard but it was always a priority to make sre we new what was right and wrong. And the big thing was that if something was on that they didn't approve of, they used a magical thing called the off button.
These days, it seems that television and movies are an easy target of blame where in fact, the blame should be placed elsewhere. I hear all the time about people complaining language, or subject matter that is innappropriate. I just don't get it. These days, warning ae shown before a lot of shows before it airs and all shows are given a rating. If you choose to let your children watch the show after all these warnings are put on, whose to blame. I am hear to tell you that it is not the networks fault.
Parents need to understand that television is not a babysitting tool and the they need to keep an eye what they are watching. They need to install the notion that what they see on the screen is not what should be replicated in real life. I am hearing stories of family groups throwing there arms in the air over gay story lines being intruduced in soap operas and teen dramas. They are saying that it is infecting todays youth and driving them to homosexuality or if drugs are shown, then drug use. What are they talkng about?
These are situations that are relevent in todays society and it would be nieve of networks to have dramas that where all happy familys and picnics cause we all know that it is not the case. If you think that a show that has adult themes might be unsuitable, don't let them watch it. But don't blame societys problems on tv cause I am hear to say that it is not there fault.
I do agree that televsion networks should have standards and that they should be followed. I do agree that there is some stuff that should not be shown on commercial networks but don't be nieve and think that just because there are standards that children can watch what they want cause I am hear to say that it is the parents that must take charge and decide on what they watch.
Don't forget that the off button is always there.
That is my opinion and I hope that I didn't offend anyone. Please feel free to leave comments and your thoughts on the suject matter.
