The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6
This past week I got a few more things:

DualShock 3 (Metallic Blue) - This is my first DualShock 3 as I have been playing my PS3 mostly with the original SixAxis controller of which I have two. I have always felt the original was a perfectly good controller, but I just liked the look of this controller in blue so I picked one up. There is also a red one too.
Doom (PS1) - I accidentally found this in the original long box version and had to get it. I had this back in the day when it originally came out and it's a really good port of Ultimate Doom and Doom II on one disc!
Tekken 6 (PS3) - I have been a big fan of Tekken since the original game's release on the original PlayStation and, like always, I picked this one up day one. Unfortunately, my biggest fear came true with this entry: It is too much like the previous Tekken 5. At first this realization really upset me because I have felt the series really needs to do something to freshen itself up since the last iteration. Since then it has grown on me once I came to terms with it being all-too familiar. I still feel Tekken 6 is the best overall game in the series and if you are new to it or haven't played it in a long while, this is certainly a good game to start with/get back into it. (My favorite thing so far was being able to make Law look just like Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star!)

Nice and shiny Tekken 6 slip cover! I'm looking forward to the PSP version.
PC (graphics) & N64 (sounds/lighting) Doom combined to form Voltron. I mean Custom PS1 Doom.
Tekken 6 being all too familiar isn't all that shocking to me, actually. I noticed it with SoulCalibur IV being EXACTLY THE SAME GAME as what I had played way back in the day, which is why I 6.0ed that sucka! I've never owned a Tekken game but I have played Tekken 4 in arcades and enjoyed it a lot, as well as Tekken Tag Tournament on the PS2. They're both excellent fighters and I'm sure I'll enjoy Tekken 6 when I do pick it up some time next year, probably after Super Street Fighter IV. What pisses me off about these mainstay fighting games is that the developers are too afraid to go ahead with new ideas and change up the game in meaningful ways. I mean, BlazBlue was that breath of fresh air that kicked up my interest again, not to mention Dead or Alive 4's radical gameplay change (it's nothing like the predecessors at all!).
I look at the insanely different battle systems of DoA4 compared to the others and there's a game I want to play the hell out of! I look at the creativity of BlazBlue and there's a game I want to play. Marvel VS. Capcom 2 is a little too insane for me though. It's fun in local play, but I literally cannot figure out how to properly play. It takes a ton of skill. But I mean, these are really creative fighters and then SC4 is like, the same game I played ten years ago. I'm not as familiar with Tekken as I am with SC, so I'm sure I'll enjoy this game.
Seeing as how you haven't played since Tekken 4, you will definitely enjoy it a lot since there are at least 10 new characters that have been introduced since T4.
Insane "bubble punch?"
My favorite new character from T5 was Sergei Dragunov. He's a Russian/Asian, scared lip, silent, military dude known as "The White Angel of Death" that likes to break your limbs.
It was recently released for the iPod touch. I might have to get that as well.
Oh. And Raven all the way!
I CALL IT THE BUBBLE PUNCH, MMMKAY!?!!?
I think Tekken is going to be a christmas purchase for me.
