I've got SKY again!
I've got SKY again, well SKY 1-3 any way, whatever dispute they had with Virgin is over
. Anyway, celebrated it's return on Thursday by watching Bones for the first time in ages, I watched Brainiac: Science Abuse - the cool science we're not allowed to do in school. Last night was Children in Need, I loved the Strictly Come Dancing with Terry Wogan and Tess Daly, it just shows that old men can learn to dance - note to John Sergeant get off the show!!!!!
I've just found out there's an art studio very near me for people with mental health problems - I shall be visiting it as my depression qualifies.
I've got a meeting with work this Thursday - I'm already petrified at the thought of going there even with Kay, my Union rep. Wish me luck please.
Back to normal
I'm feeling much better now after being laid low by something last week, still have a sniffly nose though
. Anyway I'm back to my Art cl@ss tonight, missed last week, we're working on self portraits in a cubist stile(!)
Who knows I could be the next Picasso!!!!!!!
Also back to the CMP group tomorrow, missed that last week as well. To be honest I'm not looking forward to it - one of the leaders is a bit patronising he gives a Powerpoint presentation, gives us copies of the slides then proceeds to read each one through as if we're stupid and can't read (aaaarrrrggghhh my worst nightmare - the head used to do that at work :cry
and I'm dreading that both of the very longwinded talkers are there - I may scream
!
I'm late
I know I'm a day late but congratulations to Barrack Obama for winning. Hopefully he'll bring more sense to the world.
Elections and weather!
It's almost election time in America - I hope to goodness that Obama wins that Sarah Palin terrifies the life out of me - after what she's "alleged" to have been up to in Alaska what would she be like with the whole of the States? She's also likely to put females back to the 19th Century or before!
We had hailstones here yesterday - they stung my nose, I hate to think how Becky felt but she tried to go into each gateway we passed!!
Zoot's been here again (don't know if I've mentioned her before?). Anyway she's a Liemburger (no idea if I've spelled that properly) she's the size of a St Bernard, anyway when she sees Becky she always puts her paws on Becky's shoulders(!) after a lot of growling on Becky's part she stops - thankfully. She's back home to Yorkshire today so Becky's safe for a while.
I watched seven nights of Most Haunted Live last week - it was brilliant. It came from a derelict asylum in Denbigh, North Wales. The building must have been so impressive when it was in use - I'm surprised it's not listed. The audience were fully involved this time. A very successful experience.
Conditioned Management Programme
I've started a CMP course basically to try and get back to thinking happy thoughts - that's a bit basic! A group of us meet on a Tuesday for 4 hours to discuss things. By the end of this week's session I was not on the right track in fact I was ready to lynch one girl who kept interrupting everyone to put her (verylong winded) stories forward in a very slow babyish voice - aaaaarrrrgggghhhh! I'm not going to last eight weeks if she keeps it up!
