So Bored!
I'm so bored.. I've lurked everyone I can possibly think of on facebook.. Gone to Youtube and watched videos.. So, naturally taking a CSI 'Who Are You' quiz...
Which CSI Character Are You?
More on CSI. Created by BuddyTV
That's cool--she's my favorite! I didn't even cheat (you know how some people just answer so it will turn out how they want..) Not that the questions were really all that "cheatable.."
Anyway..finals are over and I am flying out tomorrow to go home! Whoop Whoop!! =) Good Night all!
Yesss!!!
So....I would consider today to be somewhat of a lucky day for me..
First, I had to turn a paper in, so I parked in a faculty staff lot on campus (it was only goint to take like 3 minutes-what were the chances I would get a ticket within 3 minutes?). I was returning from the building and I see a man holding a parking ticket in his hand, arguing with the ticket-giver person. Just as I got into my car, he was returning to his and we drove off. Thank goodness he distracted the ticket lady because I would have for sure gotten ANOTHER parking ticket (that would have made like 7 or 8 and at $25 a piece, that adds up). Yesss!! ![]()
Next, my dad called me and told me he was at the bank and he put $100 in my account!! We get our checks tomorrow too, so I am going shopping! Yesss!!!
Next, well, we had a game tonight and got beat in 3, so that wasn't part of my luck-oh well, you can't win them all.
Then, I got home and checked my online email. (I had this paper due on Friday where we had to research articles (4 of them) pertaining to what we've reviewed in the course and then we had to critique and summarize them. In total we had to write between 8 and 16 pages...UGH!!) Have I started that assignment yet?? HELL NO I haven't... (I tend to procrastinate). So, I check my email and there's a letter from instructor saying that the assignment has been extended to the 12th because of difficulties with the website... Yesss!!!
AND THEN, I got another email from one of my teachers. (We took a test last week in thiscourse and it was way hard.) Obviously everyone did bad on the test because the email said that she was curving our grade by 15%!!! (I got a....it's embarrassing...I don't want to tell you...remember, the test was hard....a 55%...) So, I got a "70%.." Yesss!!!
Oh, and CSI comes on tomorrow and I am oh so excited!! Anyone else?? This episode is gonna be hilarious--the title even sounds hilarious (The Chick Chop Flick Shop). I don't know what it means, but I like that it rhymes!! ![]()
HOPE YOU ALL HAD A FABULOUSLY SPOOKY HALLOWEEN!! ![]()
Frustrated!!!!!
AAHHHHH!!!! I am so frustrated with myself! I got a D1 scholarship to play volleyball and I am showing the coaches absolutely nothing! A starting OH spot is available, but I can't pull my head out of my ass long enough to show the coaches that I can fill that spot! SO FRUSTRATING!! I get so nervous before every practice and feel like I'm going to puke (and since we are going through 2-a-days that's at least twice a day...)! I just want to have confidence in myself and then play and do it well so they won't be thinking "Why the hell did we give this girl money to come here? She sucks...." I WANT TO PLAY WELL!!!!!!!
Thanks for dealing with my venting... ![]()
My New Favorite..
My new favorite show is definitely CSI!! Friends is over, The O.C. is over and now CSI is my new obsession!! The storylines, the characters; everything about this show is great. There's Grissom who is the "PapaBear" who has this mysterious, intellectual sexiness type of thing going on. Catherine (my favorite) who is essentially "Mama Bear;" is independent, smart, hilarious and can kick some serious ass. Nick, who is just flat out gorgeous, and he went to Texas Tech so that makes him even hotter (Go Red Raiders!). Warrick has beautiful eyes, is way cute and he just seems like a genuine guy. Sara has a passion for what she does and does whatever it takes to get the job done. Greg is the nerdy, cute lab rat. Then there's Brass who is great--he's like the cop...
Anyway...LOVE THIS SHOW!!
Freakin' Hot Cast!! ![]()

Grey's Quotes
So the other day I was reading some of the lines from Grey's Anatomy and I realized how insightful Meredith's character is. She covers everything from friends to love to sex to life and all the stuff in between. So here are some of my favorite quotes from her...
* There comes a moment when it's more than just a game, and you either take that step forward or turn around and walk away. I could quit but here's the thing, I love the playing field.
* At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That's how we're made. So, you can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines... that are way too dangerous to cross.
* At the end of the day faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don't really expect it. It's like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And it's not so important happy ever after, just that its happy right now. See once in a while, once in a blue moon, people will surprise you , and once in a while people may even take your breath away.
* A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. Never leave that till tomorrow, he said, which you can do today. This is the man who discovered electricity. You think more people would listen to what he had to say. I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo? The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying.
* Maybe we like the pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real. What's that saying? Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop.
* I've heard that it's possible to grow up - I've just never met anyone who's actually done it. Without parents to defy, we break the rules we make for ourselves. We throw tantrums when things don't go our way, we whisper secrets with our best friends in the dark, we look for comfort where we can find it, and we hope - against all logic, against all experience. Like children, we never give up hope...
* Pain, you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers, you just breath deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed but sometimes the pain gets you where you least expect it. Hits way below the belt and doesn't let up. Pain, you just have to fight through, because the truth is you can't outrun it and life always makes more.
* I have an aunt who whenever she poured anything for you she would say "Say when". My aunt would say "Say when" and of course, we never did. We don't say when because there's something about the possibility, of more. More tequila, more love, more anything. More is better.
