Birthday Wishes for Steve / Worst Blog Ever

Fun Fact: We're exactly a week behind the day I was born, only 19 years later.

Happy Birthday, Steve Carell!

According to IMDB, he just turned 46. Wonder if his birthday is as fun as Michael's

I have to recognize he's one of my favorite actors. He's sharing my top 3- which has no particular order, and here it is:

. Jake Gyllenhaal
. Will Ferrell
. Steve Carell

WOW!!!
Expect my "happy birthday" blog for Jake on december...

My banner

The answer was: Daggett (from The Angry Beavers), Steve Carell (in The Anchorman), and Psyduck (from Pokemon).

Both Jeannine and Madison get half fortune cookie. The small note inside could then be "ambiguous". Like...

Be careful! You will get laid / down in a hospital bed

You might discuss to decide who gets which part.

If you want to complain about how INAPPROPRIATE or BAD my jokes are, leave a comment. Just click on "# Comments "

* I will be in your blogs soon.

* My title is a tribute to: TheWineKone

* What do you want me to talk about in my next blog? What do you want to see? The most original comment gets a hat!

* Take care!

Finale Fever!

It's that time of year again. Finales have aired and we've got nothing to do for months and months until new seasons start. (Unless there's another strike....)

Anyway, here's what I thought about some season finales (spoiler warning):

American Idol: I'm sooo happy David Cook won! Not that David Archuleta isn't talented, because the boy can sing - but I just think Cook has more potential as an idol. Archie was a very graceful loser, though - he seemed genuinely happy for Cook.

Grey's Anatomy: I like that Meredith and Derek are getting back together, but they better not break up again, ever. That would just be ridiculous. Izzie and Alex kissed (yay!) but I doubt it will go anywhere. Ava - she better be gone for good. She is very sick. And that poor cement guy!! The funniest part of the episode was definitely Bailey's extensive knowledge of Star Wars.

House: Saddest. Episode. Ever!!! I was bawling at the end. Poor Wilson. And poor House, because he feels responsible for Amber's death. And Poor 13, who has Huntington's!! Not a good episode for anyone.

The Office: I really liked this episode. It felt like the writers put a lot of work into it, and it really paid off. I really like Holly, the new HR rep. I'm still laughing over Kevin being "slow". Ryan's arrest ion youtube was funny. Jim was soo close to proposing, but Andy stole his thunder. And Dwight stole his thunder, in the form of Angela, after-hours!!! And Jan is pregnant!!!!

My reaction exactly.

Lost: I'm still not entirely sure what to say about the Lost finale. I absolutly loved it, that's for sure, but I can't quite come up with the words to describe this:

And then, this:

It took us a year, but we finally found out that Locke aka Jeremy Bentham is the one in the coffin. It will probably take another year to find out how he got there.

Now, even though there are no new episodes of these amazing shows, there's always...

I LOVE SYTYCD! It's 10x times better than American Idol and Dancing with the Stars put together. It's the best thing to watch this summer!!

Poop was raining from the ceiling! (plus Heath Ledger)
Okay, not really. But I did have a relatively major plumbing disaster at my house last weekend. On Sunday, I was trying to shut off the water supply to an upstairs toilet, but the knob wouldn't turn. So, genius that I am, I decided to take a nice big pair of pliers to it and force the damn thing. Of course, the knob came right off, and water sprayed into my face at a full 80 psi. Thankfully, it was clean water, but pretty soon the entire bathroom was flooded. My housemates weren't home, so I had to rush down to the basement and shut off the main water supply to the entire house. In the meantime, enough water had sprayed out to flood the bathroom with about a half inch of water, which was slowly but surely draining through a seam in the floor and through the ceiling of the hallway downstairs. I had to run around finding all the buckets, tubs and pots I could to catch water, then go back upstairs and bail/ladle/mop up the standing water. Throughout this whole ordeal, I was thinking to myself how cartoonish and slapstick this would look to an outside observer. It's one of those things that's funny as long as it isn't happening to you. Strangely, thinking about this just made me laugh. Luckily, no one else was around to hear me and stare at me like I was crazy.

Two days later, things have settled down somewhat. We borrowed an industrial-grade fan from a friend and got the bathroom dried up pretty quickly, and the damage to the hallway ceiling seems to be minor and easily fixed with a little patching. Whew, I'm feeling a little exhausted just writing about the whole ordeal. But I did manage to still finish and turn in my answers for Insane Office Trivia before the deadline that same day, so (in the words of Kevin), yeah, I'm pretty good .

On a completely different note, I find myself strangely affected by Heath Ledger's death. For some reason I'm genuinely saddened by it, even though he wasn't a favorite actor of mine and I don't usually give a hoot when famous people die. I guess it's because he was so young, and didn't have a reputation for abusing drugs a la River Phoenix. But yeah, I was as surprised by my own reaction to the news as I was by the story itself. Hmmm...

Don't be angry computer. I love you.

My computer is very mad at me and I didn't understand why until I had a epiphery. I am the worst computer owner. I am like a dog owner who makes the dog chase its tail until it is so dizzy it falls over. I just run my computer all the time and all it want's to do is die, but I won't pull the plug. I currently have300MB left on my hard drive. I remember in the good old days when I had one whole gigabyte. It's like a black whole I have no idea where all the space is going. I think it is in music. Yup I just checked every part of it is in my music. 23GB...oops. I would delete it,but that is stuff you will never get back. I can't pick and choose. How mad would the Mountain Goats be if I chose Edith Frost over them?

The worst part of this entire affair, is how sad my computer has become. The first thing my computer says to me when I turn it on in the morning isn't," Was your sleep nice?" but instead," START UP DISK IS FULL. APPLICATIONS WILL NOW FORCE QUIT." The other day I came to my computer and everything was different; the background was a default, all my files were missing, and my monitor was shaking. Made me pretty nervous. Also as I am typing this entire thing the letter are two seconds behind. So if I stop I just watch the letters type themselves. So please send all your prayers to my computer while we are going through this hard time. UGGGGGGG my computer was just typing "going" while I was typing "ugg". Anyway, my brother is giving me his old extra hard drive because he got a new one. So all should be better in my computer by next month. Hopefully one day my computer can forgive and it won't hate me so much. So that is the reason I havn't been checking forums our commenting on everyone's blogs, it just takes sooo long. So give Pat your best wishes, Pat is her name.
