The Flaws of Tv.com and Movietome
It was not too long ago that I wrote a blog about some problems that this website was having due since their format change. I wrote it after all my previous blogs had disappeared. When they returned, my latest blog disappeared. Did the blog disappear because Tv.com fixed my blog problem or because they didn't want any negative feedback on their errors? I don't know. Do you? Anyway, I thought I'd write a new blog because not only is Tv.com having technical difficulties, but Movietome.com seems to be a difficult site to handle.
Tv.com
Occasionally, after going to different pages on the site, I get logged off and have to sign in again. I don't know if this is a glitch or a precaution for security purposes. Either way, it's a bit annoying. Especially when I'm trying to submit new data.
Movietome.com
This site doesn't allow for people to submit stuff to movie profiles such as new actors, character names or plot descriptions. Is this site still under development or are the developers not as attentive as they should be?
TV Progress
I have finished watching a lot of new shows lately and I'm a bit disappointed that they are done. I have finishd The Girl From Tomorrow, Spellbinder, Spellbinder: Land of the Dragon Lord, Tarzan and Ocean Girl (Seasons 1 through 3 only). I recently started watching the new USA Network series Royal Pains. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was funny and dramatic. I also saw all of the pilot episode of Journeyman for the first time. I hope it comes out on DVD. Too bad it was cancelled. Since I saw that Moon Bloodgood will be on Burn Notice, my interest in the show has been rekindled. I hope that the new season of Heroes will be worth watching.
Old Shows Discovered Anew
A while back, I was browsing on Youtube and I discovered three shows that I had watched when I was younger: Ocean Girl, Spellbinder and The Girl From Tomorrow. I also found Spellbinder's sequel TV show: Spellbinder: Land of the Dragon Lord. I highly recommend these shows. Here's a little bit about each of them.
1. Ocean Girl takes place near the oceans off the coast of Australia. It tells the story of Neri, a young girl living alone on an island whose only companion is a humpback whale named Charley. She soon meets Jason and Brett, two brothers living closeby in an underwater science station. The boys soon learn that Neri is more than the average girl. The show revolves around the mysteries of her origins and trying to keep her safe from those who would exploit her.
2. Spellbinder tells the adventures of Paul Reynolds, a teenage boy who gets sucked into a parallel world where everything is different than what he knows. There is no modern technology and the land is ruled by a group of mysterious group known as the Spellbinders.
3. Spellbinder: Land of the Dragon Lord focuses on Kathy Morgan and her travels to parallel worlds such as the Land of the Dragon Lord.
4. The Girl From Tomorrow centers around Alana, a young girl from the year 3000. When a warrior from the year 2500 kidnaps her and takes her to the year 1990, Alana must rely on the help of newfound friends to survive an unknown time and make it back home. Later, we see her adventures in the year 2500 as well.
All of these shows are from Australia. I have not been able to find a local retailer that stocks these shows on DVD. IF anyone knows where in the USA I can buy these shows in Region 1 DVD format, please let me know. Please check these shows out. I am the editor for both Spellbinder shows and I hope to one day become editor for the other two.
