the mods are targetting me a bit now, seems wierd seeing as how i've hardly been on tv.com recently due to not having internet for some time and not wanting to be spoiled of the ending of avatar (which was awesome).

i've had 3 TOS violations in the last few days, for hardly anything. this is getting ridiculus.

First off, I'd like to begin by saying that i have not read that horrid book which some people have chosen to spoil the rest of us fans with and this blog contains NO SPOILERS. So take that in mind if you have read the book and post a comment, I dont want to hear about how I'm wrong and what actually happened.

My Prediction for the Final

1. Katara and Azula will fight, possibly with Zuko's help. i began to think this after the season 2 final after Aang was shot with lighting, after seeing the look on Katara's face it seemed like she would want revenge on the person that did it. Plus an epic battle between an amazing waterbender like Katara and a prodigal firebender like Azula? It sounds almost biblical. I think Zuko may also have a part in this because he also deserves to beat his sister, and it's like a sibling rivalry battle.

2. Aang will defeat the firelord using the Avatar State (I'm saying this under the assumption that he masters it and the writters fully explain how before or during the final). But I think Aang will attempt to spare Ozai's life but then Ozai will attak Aang, forceing Aang to kill him.

3. I think Sokka and Toph will be fighting together, possibly against the royal guard or something, or to take on the leading generals or something like that.

4. I also think that the main character deaths will be Ozai, Azula (either death or imprisonment), Iroh (as much as I hate to say it but i think he may die, after his quote in 'Bato of the Water Tribe' to Aunt Wu; "At my age there is really only one big surprise left, and I'd just as soon leave it a mystery".). However there may be more but witht the more insignificant characters like Haru's Dad, Bato or Mai/Ty Lee.

5. Aang will use a massive fireblast, powered by the comet, (like the one seen in the final trailer) to destroy Sozin's Comet so a war like this never happens again.

6. Ursa, Zuko's mum, may also have a great deal to do with the final, i think she may be with the Order of the White Lotus and they will play a big part in the final, especially through the season three build up with Pian Dao.

7. I don't want to go too much into the shipping aspects of this but bluntly i think Kataang (Katara x Aang), Maiko (Mai x Zuko) and George (Sokka x Suki) will defenantly happen. Dissapoiningly Tokka (Toph x Sokka) most likely won't, but i hope Toph at least says something about the crush she has on Sokka.

Everybody knows that the two most argued ships in the series Avatar: The Last Airbender are kataang (Katara and Aang) and zutara (Katara and Zuko), i am a 100% kataang supporter and i wanted to try to show a unbiased pros and cons list to show both sides to the arguement.

pros and cons

Kataang

pro: aang has serious feelings for her.

pro: they are around each other alot and have a close connection

pro: they have already kissed twice.

pro: they are always hugging and kissing on the cheek.

pro: the fortune teller said katara will marry a very powerful bender (and who's more powerful than the avatar?).

con: aang needs to master the avatar state which involves giving katara up; however this is under alot of controversy because many past avatars have loved and married AND mastered the avatar state. Also we don't know the extent of giving her up.

con: the fortune teller said there was no love in aangs future; however this is under controversy because and accurate reading may not have been determined from a bone exploding and this exploding bone can be linked to azula's lighting shot in CoD where aang died (so maybe the fortune teller couldnt see past that moment?) .

pro: the relationship has been established from the very first episode .

pro: mike and bryan said katara will end up with aang or zuko.

pro: the dance they had together in 'the headband', the way katara acted before she started dancing, she was nervous like most people are when they are put into that kind of position with someone they like.

pro: katara's speech in before the invasion is DoBS, it shows that katara sees aang in a new light, more of a mautre person rather than a goofy kid.

zutara

pro: zuko let katara touch his scar in CoD.

pro: mike and bryan said katara will end up with aang or zuko.

con: mostly only seen in fanfics not the actual show.

pro: katara forgave zko for his past evil deeds in the southern raiders.

con: zuko has never shown any romantic feelings towards katara.

con: katara has never shown any romantic feelings towards zuko.

neutral: mai and zuko have broken up, but this still doesnt help the zutara fandom because its clearly shown in Boiling rock that mai still loves zuko and it seems he still has feelings for her.

neutral: zuko has joined the gaang, this allows the zutarian relationship to develop however this cannot be determined until further episodes have been released
