It took me a day or two, well more like a few hours but I got the editorship for the one and only guide I plan on keeping here. Keith Allen is one of my all time favourites, and I find it abit annoying that there is a lot of misinformation and very little accurate info out there on him. Hopefully I can fix up his guide here and the one that I'm over on TVRage so there will at least be a couple of reliable sources on him (besides his dinky mini bio on the BBC).

Besides that I realised last night that many of you don't know about my now not so new baby - Gracie.

I know it's been an eternity or two and I doubt most of you even remember me, but I wanted to pop over and say "hiya".

Nope, I'm not back full time or whatever ya want to call it. I will try to blog occasionally since it appears I still know people on here and I've decide to help out a little on one specific actor and television programme (if the editors will let me), but that's about it.

Wow. They actually did it. They banned DS. I know that there was a murmur of discontent about her work among some of the members, but I honestly didn't expect them to do anything about it. I'm proud of the staff here for proving me, as well as some other members, wrong.

I know many of us have done things that we later found out was considered gaming, or was eventually made against the rules (i.e. using "Coming Soon" when adding a new episode, adding crew/cast one person at a time) - but why do it intentionally after being told that it's wrong?? I won't say anything mean about the situation - but I do pity someone that puts forth so much effort to obviously get attention. Honestly, I do. It's so sad.

Now on to a more pleasant subject. I notice tonight that the 6th was officially my one year anniversary with this screen name. I say it that way because I used another sn when tvtome first changed in to tv.com - and I was also on tvtome for a few years. The past year has had it's highs and lows - but I'll admit that I've had some really great times on here with you guys. I hope those of you who have remained faithful to tv.com continue to have a nice time participating here, and I wish you well in all your other endeavours. For me though, my heart lies elsewhere. I'm sure some of you have noticed that I have retired from all of my guides now. In the next week or so, I will be cutting back even more on the fleeting moments I spend on here. I've become a trusted member (they call us Crazed Contributors) over on tvrage, and I now have the freedom that I've missed for quite some time since tvtome was phased out. I'm very happy there. Since I really do mean it when I say that I am leaving in the not so distant future - I just wanted to let those of you (that aren't also on tvrage) know, that if you wish to keep in touch - please feel free to email or YM me at Yahoo.com ... my screen name is also xGowronx on there.

Where the heck are my older blogs?? I try to go back to copy/paste the information for contributing to my guides and the bloody thing is gone. This is frelling annoying!

Now I'm not singling anyone out, I just like reposting this info occasionally.

Please keep the following items in mind when making a submission to a guide that I am the editor for. I don't ask for much, but I'm going to start bouncing them all back to the contributor instead of fixing them. I'm sorry about this, but I don't feel it's right that I do alot of work without receiving any credit.

1) Please check your spelling. I know we all make mistakes occasionally, but on a submission please use a spell checker.
2) Please format everything properly. Use italics for names of shows, games and books. I also like for any proper names/titles to be in bold text, but if you forget this bit - it's no biggie (particularly since I'm still working on changing them all over to this). Also please check how I format quotes. I like a consistant look on the guides.
3) Please make sure the information you are submitting is not already available on the guide.
4) Please use complete sentences, i.e. "Johnny likes jam" not "Likes jam."

Now you know all the little tidbits that can make me a very happy camper. Thanks to everyone that has been submitting to my guides lately, I really do appreciate the help.

It's hard not to notice all the going back and forth between still dedicated tv.com members and the people who have been alienated/banned/ect. over on tvrage. Personally, I don't see what all the fussing is about. If you like one site better than the other, then participate at your favourite. If you have genuine grievances, voice them, but there's no reason to be hateful.

Just to be fair though, I thought that I should also share my feelings on the matter in a blog here as well.

I will admit that I'm still disenchanted with tv.com. I know Missribs and some of the staff are really working hard to make it a better site, but at this point I don't see the powers-that-be ever making this a completely user-friendly website. So no, I'm still not happy here. I miss the many people that I've made friends with here over the past year, but not much else. I still plan on tending to the few guides that I'm keeping, blogging, and PMs, but I have no interest in participating in the forums anymore.

Also, I want to make it clear that I don't wish to argue with anyone, I just think both sites deserve a fair chance. Personally, I simply prefer the fan based, not so commercial, tvtome-like environment the "Dark side" offers me ... not to mention, I feel my work is more appreciated there.

Now concerning some of the not so nice comments tv.com supporters have been saying about tvrage.
1) Of course tv.com currently has more information than tvrage, for one they inherited tvtome's database, and tvrage was started from scratch only a few months ago - but it is growing.
2) So what if you can become an editor for a guide a little easier over there than you can here. You still have to take care of it and do your job or you can lose it just like you can on tv.com.
3) Concerning the "under population of the forums" on their site ... IT IS A NEW WEBSITE, they didn't have two other websites to have members migrate over from, not to mention the $$$ to heavily advertise themselves. They are getting more and more people everyday just like tv.com and it will eventually be a heavily populated site.

I noticed last night that the finally have the option for editors to retire from people guides ... now if they would just fixed the damned loading speed on here maybe I would consider being on here more. I can't handle waiting a minute or so to get a page to show up. THIS IS THE ONLY WEBSITE I HAVE THIS PROBLEM ON ... it's not my computer, or my connection. Missribs said she would ask them to sort this out for me, but they obviously didn't feel it a worthwhile task.

I wanted to say hello to everyone, and I hope that you are doing well. I have pnuemonia right now, so I'm not in the greatest of moods. I miss y'all, and if you're interested in any of the people guides I'm retiring from - go for it! I will of course be keeping my all time favourite people, but other than that - 95% of them I'm retiring from.

I actually got all of my blops answered in my last blog, I'm sure some of you will think that's a miracle. lol I hope everyone is doing well, and having a great weekend.
FINALLY I was hit by the MP3 icon bug, but I can't complain I like the lion face, it's kinda cool. I'm also not ashamed to admit I actually listened to White Lion when I was 13 or so. lol

Not alot to report, as usual. I am thrilled though that SCIFI is finally going to show the new Doctor Who. I hope it does well enough that they continue showing it, even if Christopher Eccleston left the show. I miss seeing The Doctor!!!!

If you could completely disown one family member forever, who would it be and why?

Since it has been a few days, and I've spoken to many of you "over there" since my last blog I just wanted to pop in and say "hiya." All is going well for me. Well, not a lot has been going on as usual. I guess I could give y'all a little update.
I've made Grim Reaper/Section 31 on the other site, which is really cool since I love focusing on the more neglected dead actors and actresses. It means I can edit some items on an editorless guide for actors/actresses that have given up the ghost without having to become their editor. Which is what I love the most about it. I also have a new computer!!! Woohoo! The only bad thing about it is I'm in deep debt to a family member until I can pay her back for it. But when I saw it, I had to have it. NOW. lol

I do miss those of you that I don't chat with elsewhere. PM me here, email me or something!! lol

So how has everyone been doing?? What have I missed?

Yes! You don't even have to beat it out of me, I'll admit that I've defected! Following Ross_99, Gakhandal, Batman_Beyonder, and many other former dedicated members here I'm going to be spending a wee bit more time with the "enemy" where like Ross mentioned, my work is more appreciated.
I promise to still pop on here daily - if possible, but I'm still experiencing the freeze/slow loading problems and can't view or reply to anything (without it taking several minutes) while logged on to my account. Please feel free to contact me "there" or through Yahoo - my screen name is the same on many sites.
I don't know y'all, I'm just tired. It's been nine months and while some things have improved, others have gotten worse. Not to mention I've been stuck at 3% since the 9th. I won't give up hope completely, but I don't see myself doing much more on here (beyond tending my to queue) until the swarms of bugs start thinning out.

I just found out according to YouGotRivered's latest blog that Andreas Katsulas has passed away due to lung cancer. He was one of the better actors in science fiction and I'm sure many of you are familiar with his work. He will truly be missed. (I'll answer more of my last blog, and on your blogs soon. I'm having trouble accessing profiles due to the site being so slow.)

Not much to say again today. I'm now the editor for Ian McShane and The Dudley Do-Right Show. I haven't had a update in quite sometime now, but I'm beyond whining and ranting. No need to bother, all we can do is sit and wait on them to fix it.

Over the last couple of days I've been editing my Favourites list on here, and I've noticed an annoying trend. A lot of people on here seem to rate and review shows that they either have never watched or haven't given a proper chance. Where's the logic in that?

I don't know about y'all, but I have always had a major pet peeve with people who had a strong negative opinion about something that they know jack all about.

What do all of you think about this?
