Okami...

It's been a while - I've been very busy working through my research. Reading a lot about Social Theory, but you guys don't need to know about all that jazz.

I have added another game to my ever changing collection of games following my purchases of World at War (which I've finished, but am yet to play online-see below) and Fallout 3. This time my money was well spent on Okami for the Wii. I managed to pick it up from the Christmas bargain bin at my local Gamestation for about £20. Which isn't too bad. I've only managed to play through the opening so far, but from what I've seen I know that I am going to love this game. It reminds me a lot of Wind Waker on the Cube (another game I loved and still have!) - similar graphical style, speech and humor. I can't wait to get back home today and lay into it some more.

In other news, my wireless router is still broken, and the replacement I ordered has seemingly vanished into the ether. I know that it is somewhere round my town, as the post tried to deliver it on monday when I was out. I requested a re-delivery for wednesday, but it never arrived. And calling my local depot had been fruitless - so far I have either not been able to get through, been told "it's probably around the depot somewhere", been promised a call when they find it (never happened) and finally told it's probably out on delivery "right now" and yet it still hasn't materialized. Obviously I am now slightly delirious with anger, and will be going to the depot in person on monday morning, possibly to vent said anger.

If it has gone missing, I'll probably end up having to tell Amazon and getting a replacement sent out - another weeks wait. So no online gaming for the foreseeable future. Bummer...

Other than that, all is well And finally, I hope that all my American buddies had an enjoyable Thanksgiving!

Social...social whats it? lol. Okami is a great game, I got it for the PS2. Its probably one of the best games I've ever played in my life. Really. Quite unique. I hope you get your package. I had a problem with a package with the post office, though they were delivering it for me to my girl. Aside from the lies they gave me, and the crap, after two weeks of having problems, I finally said I was taking them to court...and behold...I got the package returned! Funny how they found it instantly and brought it back to me. I have yet to send it back to my girl. Either way, give them hell if they don't fix the problem for you!

Congrats on getting Okami! I hope you enjoy it.

That is terrible about the router. When package get lost, it always seems that no one at the courier will give a straight answer....

Hope they find it or Amazon gets a new one to you quickly.

Thanks for the support guys! As for Okami I really am enjoy the experience. Such versatile gameplay and a unique story. It still reminds me of Wind Waker though, but with more innovative ways to solve puzzles etc. I did get stuck right at the beginning though, until I worked out that you can hold down Z on the Wii nunchuck to allow you to draw dead straight lines - makes using power slash a lot easier, !

About Me

I am a 23 year old avid Nintendo enthusiast. I own a Wii and DS because they are great, and I've purchased an Xbox 360 for its massive selection of games. I've also bought a PSP mainly for Crisis Core and the rereleases of the early Final Fantasy games. My favorite types of games are RPGs and FPS. I tend to be a lot better at the latter compared to the former. I live in the UK, play electric guitar and have a silly amount of CDs and DVDs. I also love Japanese horror! When I'm not at work I'll often be playing games either by myself, with friends, or online with randoms! If you're one of those randoms, say hi, or add me ;)
