The guys from Billy Talent took their time releasing their second album. Well, it was worth the wait. While it's not quick as fast paced as their first self-titled album, it has some real gems in there, most notably Surrender and Pins & Needles.

I Write Sins Not Tragedies has quickly been accelerated to been a indie club classic and rightfully so. It's one of Panic's best works as well as being a good song to do the alternative version of getting your groove on.

In 2003 The Offspring had the world at their feet. While the punk revival seen was waning the major artists were still churning out music and good music too. Indeed, Conspiracy of One, released 3 years prior, was one of the band's best work yet.

Then came Splinter. And while I am a huge fan I think any of us would be hard pushed to say it wasn't a disappointment. Most of the tracks lacked the combination of punk energy and catchy rifts which make the band's music so attractive.

While the album was not baron of great work, most notably (Can't Get My) Head Around You this almost added insult to injury in that the band could do better with the whole album, but didn't.

Seeter have done quite well in transcending the boundaries of several genres without anyone really noticing. They could be categorised into acoustic rock just as well as they could be categorised into post-grunge or even metal.

Such a mix showed up more prominently than ever with the release of their 2006 album, "One Cold Night."

While their music is not something you would label as "nobody else sounds like this" (Staind being the obvious collection at least though many more could be listed), Seether have managed to do what they do very well indeed.
