Enigmatic rock duo Vietnam, whose mellow but acerbic music and extended jams have elicited comparisons to Lou Reed, Sonic Youth, and Smog, features vocalist/guitarist Michael William and multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Joshua Garrett. The pair enlisted percussionist Mike Foss, drummer Chris Colley, and vocalist Kim Miller to record the debut Vietnam EP, The Concrete's Always Grayer on the Other Side of the Street, which was released in summer 2004 by Vice Records. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
