Wai Lana
Wai Lana, the daughter of Chinese immigrants, grew up in Hong Kong and as a teenager came under the influence of Jagad Guru Siddhaswarupananda Paramahamsa (aka Siddha), following him to India, where she took up yoga. She became a yoga instructor and built up an extensive business, including a series of television shows, videotapes, and eventually, music CDs to complement her lessons. Yoga Music of the Heart and Yoga Sound, both co-credited to Lana and Siddha, appeared in 1998, followed in 2002 by Wai Lana's Rest & Relax. Lana sang on the first two albums and provided spoken yoga instruction on the third. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
