The Good
Substantially lower subscription cost than Napster To Go and Rhapsody To Go; subscription-based downloads can be transferred to Janus-compatible portable audio players; unlimited burning of individually purchased tracks; massive music selection for downloading and streaming; high-quality 192Kbps WMA audio streams and downloads; nice set of audio jukebox features, including Gracenote's Music ID, for identifying your tagless tracks; deft integration with existing Yahoo Messenger client.
The Bad
Buggier than more-seasoned competitors; skeletal editorial content; sluggish performance; lacks premade playlists; not compatible with any digital media receivers; Windows only; no ripping to WMA; doesn't work perfectly with all Janus devices.
Bottom Line
If you can overlook its bugs, Yahoo Music Unlimited's ultralow subscription fee makes it a compelling alternative to Napster To Go and Rhapsody To Go.
