British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran is gearing up to release his second studio album, X, and he just dropped an earth-shattering audio track off the forthcoming LP, simply entitled “Don’t”. Rumours are flying that the biting kiss-off song is all about fellow UK pop star Ellie Goulding, who he apparently wooed during the summer of 2013.

Goulding then, allegedly, cheated on him with One Direction crooner Niall Horan, and if Sheeran’s lyrics are truly about this situation, they’re pretty shocking. One line in “Don’t” goes I never saw him as a threat, ’til you disappeared with him to have sex. Ouch! Ed’s been quoted as saying to UK publication The MirrorThe story in ‘Don’t’ is 100% true. I could have gotten nastier – there was more s*** that I didn’t put in.

Ed Sheeran’s second album X drops on June 23rd: will you be picking it up?
