[mp3com-artist]Levek[/mp3com-artist], aka David Levesque or your kid’s former school bus driver, recently released his first full LP. Over the past three years, Levek independently released some of the most refreshingly unique music around. His earlier releases were all recorded at home, and quickly caught fire on the internet, carving out a sizable following.

Over the past three years, Levek independently released some of the most refreshingly unique music around. His earlier releases were all recorded at home, and quickly caught fire on the internet, carving out a sizable following.

Now, for the first time, Levek found himself in a real studio to record his debut album. Look a Little Closer tells the story of a young girl who struggles with mental illness, but don’t let that piece of information predefine the sound in your head. Levek’s sound is as hard to categorize as the album’s theme, but if you must put it into words, much like Levek’s earlier work, it sort of sounds like tropical Blaxploitation soundtrack on quaaludes. Hey, we said it was unique.
