As genres evolve, they become harder to distinguish from each other.  Electronic music has always shared a close connection with Hip-Hop, as producers in both genres use the same drum machines and samplers to make their music.  In the end what really separates the two? It is a matter of style - in their strictest form, hip hop and electronica sound different - but today that line is being blurred as more and more hip hop producers turn to electronic music for their samples.  The opposite is also true: for example,  DJ Shadow, who's album Endtroducing stands as one of the great electronic albums of all time, uses the same soul samples as his hip hop contemporaries.  He and other notable 90's DJ acts like Massive Attack, were labelled as "Trip-Hop" - a name that in itself describes the genre melding qualities of the music. Here are a couple tracks by contemporary artists Long Arm and Aeed, who also make music that straddles the line between Hip Hop and Electronic.
