Which Aaliyah Album Is the Soundtrack to Your Love Life?
Of her three studio albums — Age Ain’t Nothin’ But A Number, One in a Million and Aaliyah — which one suits you best?

Blackground, Virgin
On January 16 we celebrate the beautiful Aaliyah on what would have been her 40th birthday.
She was a talent gone too soon, with a voice and vibe that changed the sound of R&B music. Many artists, including Drake, Frank Ocean, Rihanna, J. Cole and Ciara, list her as a huge influence.
During her career, Aaliyah worked with many talented producers (such as Static Major, Missy Elliott and Timbaland) to create the songs we know and love today. These songs still hold up, which is no easy feat. And even though much of Aaliyah’s catalog is under lock and key thanks to her uncle and manager Barry Hankerson, fans search their MP3 archives, dusty CD cases and shoeboxes of cassettes to reminisce on the magic of Aaliyah.
